Yes if you ask a person on the street if they support abuse, in a vacuum they’d say no. But as soon as it’s revealed the abuser was a victim themselves or has some sob story, their tones changes and so the abuse is downplayed. This happens with the majority of abuse cases because nearly every abuser had to learn from somewhere by being abused themselves. I’ve seen this happen in real life too. Hybristophilia, the love and sexual attraction to violent criminals, is by and large a female phenomenon. Evidence in men is very rare and not well documented. Yes men and experience sexual attraction to criminal women, but that’s in spite of it. Women tend to feel attracted to the fact that the man has committed violent crimes rather than in spite of it.
