Thank you for answering me. While RPW is not for me personally, I think you've explained it quite eloquently. I was thinking about it in narrow terms... but all relationships have their own sorts of norms set between the two people. I suppose these are just different norms.

I think this BDSM desires = fifty shades tickets has way less equivalency than some might think. I know a lot of people who are going to see that movie for shits and giggles, haven't read the book, but want to see what the fuss is about.

Do RPW believe that only women have shitty aspects [in their own relationships] that need to be kept in check? I really don't understand. Nature, hormones, and socialization seem to cause nasty, selfish, short sighted behavior in men too. Must men be either worthless or infallible? Most of the time people just act like people, and everyone should try to keep their own shittiness in check. I don't understand why a woman would agree with any of this unless she holds the sexist and insecure belief …

many of them are based on human interaction rather than... hard science I think there is a problem with subjective measures and misrepresentations of effect size, but even more importantly, methodology does matter. "Hard science" can be unscientific if it's badly conducted. Subjective measures can be validated and then be administered in a another study incorrectly.
