The amount of cases of sexual assault reported are much higher including the cases that aren’t even reported due to factors such as stigma, fear ect. It’s pretty common knowledge that the process of going through court, receiving support so sexual assault victims can receive justice is tough and traumatic which is why so many cases end up dropped.
