46	Fear on Public Transit Some background: I am woman who grew up in LA (land of no public transport). I moved as an adult to places with public transport (New York City area, and Chicago). Then I moved back to LA. Public transportation can have its own set of dangers, but I can’t say I feel safer in a place where you can only get around using cars.
