She lied to me, cheated on me, and replaced me overnight with a man she met once. She will not get a "happy birthday" message or gift from me now, or ever.

Are you wanting to find out just so you know, or because you think it will help your case? Proving infidelity in Texas won't do much for you unless you have a kid and can somehow convince a judge that should warrant you getting more custody or something. Even then, not sure how realistic that is. If you just want to know to know, then getting access to her phone/computer will give you all the answers you are after. If that isn't realistic, then you could hire a PI to follow her around (assuming …

Similar thing happened to me, and also from Texas. 99.87% chance that she is already seeing someone else.

Remind yourself daily: What is meant for you will not pass you by

Oh man. The first few nights in the new empty apartment. I was right where you were at 4 months ago. It will be rough at first. No other way to put it. But speaking from experience, things will get better. Just try to get into a routine. Buy a few new decor items to make it more welcoming and "you". Try to get outdoors some. See if there are any local walking trails you can hit up in the evenings. Don't look at it as your new forever home. Instead, think of it as a place of solitude while you le…

My ex wife was ordering lingerie and love cards for her affair partner and delivering them to our shared home. She didn't care. It is uncanny how the people that we once called our best friend and that we gave our all to can turn into these heartless monsters. The next few months are going to be incredibly difficult for you. But you will get out to the other side of this and be happier than ever.

Ugh. I'm not ready to start dating again, but this is one aspect that I'm dreading. Just seems like the supply of child-free women that are worth pursuing in my age range is going to be in short supply.

She is cheating on you. This story has played out time and time again. Wife gets in good shape/loses weight (you are seeing this a lot as of late with all these new rapid weight loss meds). They start getting more attention from other men. The thought of something new and exciting compared to the "boring" norm consumes them. They end up having an affair and quickly monkey branching to this new person. This results in them suddenly and unexpectedly wanting to tear apart a healthy (albeit not perf…

Lawyer up. Grey rock. No contact except for essential communication tied to the divorce. After her affair blows up (which it will) she will probably reach back out. Don't give her the time of day. Move on and find something better (you will).

There is likely someone else in the picture. The next few months are going to be the hardest of your life. But you'll make it out to the other side, and better for it. This I can promise.

There really is no easy way to adjust to no contact. You just have to stick to it. It is so unbelievably hard at first, but each day will get a little easier.

You are handling this better than most, so kudos to that. Also good on you for not sticking around. I know how it feels to realize that the person you built your life around turns out to be a different person. There are better times in store for all of us brother.

Sexual incompatibility can certainly lead to divorce. I would work with her on trying to get her medications sorted. But sometimes the lack of sex drive can be either chemical or mental (when women check out of a relationship, their desire to have sex with their partner also diminishes). Regardless of the source, if it can't be addressed then you will have to decide if you are OK being in a marriage where your sexual needs aren't being met. Lots of people do that. But lots of people also end up …

We sold our house. Neither of us could afford it on our own.

She was seeing the guy before she broke things off with you unfortunately. This same story has played out millions of times. I'm going through it myself right now. All we can do is become the best versions of ourselves and be better-prepared for these red flags in future relationships.

I couldn't afford the house by myself. Also, our house had too many memories of "us", so I think moving somewhere else will help me forget about her/our marriage more quickly.

Thank you. You are exactly right. I need to shut down those thoughts and avoid checking her socials constantly.

Despite what my STBXW did to me, I still care for her immensely. We went through a lot and I thought our bond was inseparable. She was my best friend, but there is no way that I can maintain any sort of relationship with her after what she did to me. Thankfully we don't have kids so it allows me to do a clean break.

I moved into my new apartment 3 days ago, so I'm right there with you. This place feels like a random room that is housing all my stuff instead of my "home", but hopefully that will change over time. We are in the trenches right now. Just know you aren't alone, and that there is an other (better) side to this. We just gotta take it day by day and trust the process.
