If they actively court it, yes. Instagram is particularly bad for this given the fact it is focused on pictures.

Thanks for the context! It's great to hear from someone who's actually been in contact with this kind of situation, and not just through online videos. When I was a police officer I saw too many people charged and sentenced for using excessive force when the "red mist" came down. I've also turned a blind eye to some things that should, by the law, been an arrestable offence. I'm just worried that guys will look at this, think its OK, and end up ruining their lives when a more appropriate reactio…

We can certainly agree on that one.

My point is that if you make the data totally open, anyone can just take it, pop your stuff into Excel themselves, and cherry pick to suit their own narrative. Not to mention that if the data is weighted the average person would almost certainly get it wrong. Far better for the stato to just keep hold of the data and supply people with tables that have been properly checked. For actual data manipulation and tests yes, I do use R. Hail Wickham. Python also has some great libraries for this too.

I didn't realise it was gay to take money for having a wide social net? Have you stopped to think about what you post before you click send? Do you even know about this topic enough to even contribute?

No, because he is a man. Social media influencers cross the full spectrum of people. It isn't just full of camgirls.

The guy is a fucking man mountain, she's been smacked twice, and she tries to take a swing?! I'm a dude and I'd be thinking "nope, imma getting out right here, enjoy the rest of your night sir"

This is why professional statisticians are reluctant to give total unfettered access to their datasets. Anyone can drop stuff into excel and twist it to meet their preconceived biases, making your dataset sound unreliable in the process.

There is still a crisis of reproducibility in nearly all fields. The bias of researchers and publishing companies is still a massive problem, but luckily the real stem subjects are much more objective. Social sciences and psychology have something like >50% of studies investigated not producing significant results.

Someone with a lot of followers who is approached by a company to showcase their stuff on his or her channel. Reasonably commonplace now a days. LinkedIn approached me to write industry posts for example, and my nephew is an Instagram influencer with regards football boots because he posts lots of football content and has a load of followers.

Not quite, as men are influencers too

What's the context? Does anyone know what happened before this? For using a belt like that she should be arrested and charged for aggravated battery with an improvised weapon.

This is just embarrassing. Who the fuck acts like that.

She should be paying the two men for the rest of her life until the present value of their predicted future salaries has been paid off.

In a just world yes, however they won't. The college is only concerned with public opinion, and there are some very noisy groups that will still consider these two men as rapists in spite of the verdict.

Then she should have been forced to repay the expected value of the lost opportunities. I thought the entire point of compensation is to return things to the state they were before the offence was committed, so far as possible? She should be paying these two men for the rest of her life.

That should be flat out illegal. Nothing should change until the conclusion of the case. Both accuser and accused should be protected from all consequences until the conclusion of the case. That should be one of the core tenets of a just justice system.

Make it the standard penalty for interfering with justice, and then give the rape penalty as well. However the judge probably knows full well that if they were to do this, the current system would probably overturn it as misogynistic or something.

The clientele of this sub is also shown by the fact that people are clearly trawling through the comments section and down voting anything which criticises the zeitgeist. Truly toxic.

Yup. Its possible for a pussy pass to be denied (by him retaliating), and people to still say "damn that was a bit too much dude" I hate the comments here going "she acted according to her means, and he is reacting according to his means". If someone hit you with a push, the correct response is not to use all your might to smash them into the ground with the force of God and Anime combined. If you have tried to deescalate and they keep coming then perhaps if you can justify it... But good luck t…

No I'm with you. It's perfectly possible for "pussy pass denied" and for his reaction to be entirely disproportionate. His right to defend himself must be through the use of reasonable force. Picking her up to shoulder height and slamming her into the floor is not proportionate, no matter how satisfying it might be, or how much she was asking for it.
/r/PussyPassDenied18/09/19 11:27 AM

I wouldn't call this "pussy pass denied". More "wow, mental health services should really be properly funded in this country."

Not a bouncer, but I've been ganged up on too. What I find that works now is to dunk the person on the ground without following them down, staying on your feet. Stay and play on the ground when they have mates is near suicide.

That isn't what happened at all. Notice how noone said anything when he hits her with the first one. It is when he grabs with the left and starts going in with the right when she clearly isn't defending herself effectively. That is the point when people step in. That isn't white knighting... That is someone looking out for his bro.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/09/19 06:37 AM

No, they didn't say a thing at the first smack. It was when he grabbed her with the left and starting winding up the right. That was the point I puckered up as everything before that could be argued away as legitimate self defence. Afterwards would not be. To me, they weren't white knighting... They were looking out for a bro.

What it takes is for him to do it back and she can learn the difference.

Or jitsu and dunk the fucker on the ground. Boxing don't mean shit when they are upside down on the floor. Everyone expects to stand trading blows. Noone expects to get slammed into the concrete by someone who knows what they are doing on the ground.
/r/PussyPassDenied10/09/19 06:23 AM

Yeah I actually think the bystanders were restrained. It wasn't the smack to the face that caused them to step in, it was the gripping her with the left and winding up with the right. That is the point I would step in too... For his sake, not hers.

Everyone expects you to trade blows standing up. Noone expects to be hip-thrown and dunked on the ground.

Boys go to school. Girls go to a college of psychological warfare.

My mum raised me with the rule "ignore people who say 'never hit a woman'. The rule is actually 'never hit a lady'. If you need to defend yourself, then she isn't a lady."

And if you grab the hair, the head will follow. And men can grab and pull a hell of a lot harder than a woman.

My dad taught it to me as "You never hit a lady, but if she hits you then she is no lady"

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
