Your differentiation of the two is the exact same thing I was saying...someone explained this in another comment and I said it was the perfect definition for not caring about money. A person can be ambitious without it being tied to money...your exact definition "valuing how much money someone is actually currently making and contributing to the household" is what I told her was the contradiction because she was tying both willful stagnation and low income to the financial aspect. Which would no…

I think you know what it means coz you literally just described it regarding your ex lol. But anyway yeah…if all your relationships are going to be temporary with no aim of even getting married, then I don’t think your advice is accurate for someone who is going for a such a relationship and is worried about this. Of course you won’t worry about a guy’s finances if you’re only intending to date him for a few months and move on to the next one lol.

So I'm defending red pill because I pointed out a contradiction? Cmon. And "willful stagnation" vs "being low income" wouldn't even matter if what he made truly didn't matter right? You yourself just pointed out with the sexism example how someone who doesn't care about what the other makes would expect them to be ambitious in other things, not financial. Because the money wouldn't matter, right?

statistically speaking, men are ok with dating "hobosexuals". A lot of women do struggle financially, however this is not a major hindrance in their dating life, and neither should it be.

Ooh you meant when you're not actually living with him. Oh ok I thought you meant when you were living with each other. Yeah that makes sense. Is the financial ambition still required when you're living together or can the lack of it also cause a break up?

your last statement is probably the reason why people like OP are skeptical. Because a man would almost never make that statement if they were to dedicate themselves to their partner. So he would wonder why you're not willing to do the same for him when you have the money

this is perhaps the best definition for the word in this context. Other commenters were tying it to financial ambition which would then contradict the claim that the money doesn't matter.

so even if he was only ambitious in something that didn't generate money that would have been okay with you as long as the ambition is there? or does it need to generate money?

bit of a contradiction here though coz if what he made didn't really matter then it wouldn't make sense to dump him because of lack of financial ambition. As an example, you don't really hear men saying they dumped their girlfriend because she lacked ambition and wasn't working toward a promotion or chasing a side hustle. But yeah, its possible, my dad was unemployed for a long time and my mom didn't just up and leave

Getting married young is very ok in the rest of the world. The problem isn't the age, its the people and the culture. The divorce rate doesn't actually get better for people who get married later after dating multiple people.

I mean technically speaking, sleeping with multiple people you are not married to IS sleeping around.

People who do not see marriage and sex as sacred are way more likely to sleep with multiple people or leave their spouses/partners to go sleep with other people in other relationships for any kind of excuse. This includes religious people (yes some religious people find no problem sleeping with multiple people despite what their religion says because they simply do not actually care what their religion says). So yes, it is right that "the lower the number of partners pre marriage, the lower the …

what was the essence of stopping the sex lol...and you only stopped once you decided to get married? Isn't that like just a mockery of the whole point? Its like "ok now that we are compatible lets act like we care about no sex before marriage" lol

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
