Sales, for starters. There are a ton of ways you can make decent money without a degree. Another way is to find almost any job and invest your money into yourself (not Roth IRA-type stuff per se, though eventually, think buying and selling stuff you know about). The sad reality is that from what I've read many patients prefer a white or asian doctor because they assume the black doctor might not be as good (for reference sake it's about 30% easier to become a doctor if you're black). Mary works for me for 10 years, she doesn't have kids and therefore has never taken maternity leave.
