4	If someone won't date you because of your ethnicity, looks, or any other unalterable externality, it is their problem not yours. It’s something to try and remember. I was born prematurely at 26 weeks, and as such can’t see out of my left eye and my right eye is shortsighted. But in terms of how they look, I have a dragged macular and so it may look like I’m not looking straight at someone unless they’re up close. Usually it’s not a problem when meeting new people, but occasionally people will look over their left shoulder, thinking I’m looking over there. It can feel a bit awkward to get reminded of that.
