It's disgusting that, even though he's doing absolutely nothing illegal now, they're wasting taxpayer money trying to nab him on a statuatory rape charge that COULD have happened. Another prime example of age of censent laws being complete bullshit. Like the war on drugs, age of consent is just a legal technicality that allows meddling, agenda-pushing third parties to criminalize consenting individuals engaged in harmless activities.

We've cured most diseases and have the technology to feed ourselves with plenty of surplus. Any country that has its shit together can handle giving its citizens basic rights without crumpling.

I never denied that a sexually repessed society gets things done. My claim is that any societal benefits of sexual repression are more than offset by the forfeiture of rights and freedoms, forfeiture that is necessary in maintaining such a society. I don't understand how any advocate of men's rights can also advocate the denial of any human his or her basic rights.

I disagree with ALL indecent exposure laws. The human body is beautiful and natural. Simply being seen should not be a crime, and simply seeing something that offends you should not give you legal claim to damages. I know if the victim were a woman, it would easily be considered sexual battery by the courts - but I would disagree with that ruling, too. It was certainly a stupid thing to do, and definitely inappropriate. The perpetrator should face repercussions. But it was not a violent crime, or a sexually motivated one, and he should not be labeled as a sexual predator because of it.

Thank you. Instead of trying to elicit an emotional response, the video's goal should be spreading real information. I think a succinct account of the facts behind some real false rape situations and their consequences would be compelling enough to sway any rational, justice-minded person.

Are those photos of black lynchings directly linked to cases of false rape allegations? Or is the video just trying to draw parallels between racial hatred in the early 20th century and sex-based prejudice now? Because if they are related to false rape claims, a little background info would be nice, to clarify they're not just there for shock value. Thanks for providing context. The OP article is a bit misleading as it appears to deny any physical contact was made at all. I still disagree that the actions qualify as sexual assault. To me the act looks tantamount to drawing dicks on someone passed out at a party - not a nice thing to do, and probably punishable as a lesser offense, but certainly not a sexual crime.

Most of the double standard claims in this thread are likening it to rape. And under the law (at least where I live) sexual assault is basically rape. "Assault" implies physical force, which was not used at all according to this article. What was perpetrated was sexual harassment, which (as far as I know) isn't actually a crime in itself. Although most organizations will kick you out for doing it.

I don't understand why this comment and others like it are being downvoted. From the article, it doesn't sound like he touched the victim at all. He was just humiliating him after a sports game, in a way that was stupid and bro-y, but also nonsexual. And yes, I'm sure it was very humiliating for the victim, especially when the video went online. But calling it a rape is really a stretch.
