Absolutely true. My health has been directly proportional to the scrotery in my life. Actively avoiding them since last year, and (surprise, surprise) getting happier and healthier every day. The stress is just melting away.

The 30s have been the best age so far! I just love it. From what I hear, it just keeps getting better all the way into the 50s from here, as well 😍 These will be some majorly awesome decades. Now if only the men would piss off 😂 I did toss out my ex last year. Good riddance. I am looking forward to being single through the best decades of my life, in peace, contentment and happiness. 🌿

Same age-range here. My ex was 4 years younger than me. I still look VASTLY better (and much younger) than him. He kept talking about wanting to live an active lifestyle and working out, while sitting at his computer 24/7 getting fatter and fatter. While I was actually living healthily and getting stronger and more gorgeous every day 💕 These dudes are ridiculous. He was even jealous of me being in good shape ☠️ As if I didn't just put in a little effort and made good choices. Which he could also…

Absolutely. And miscarriages also happen, more often than most people are aware of.

They will just make rape legal. You need to get out of there. Like, literally move away to another place.

Women in the USA (and other fascist countries): Get yourself some permanent birth control right away. Hormonal IUD should protect you for many years. And nobody else can mess with it. They don't even have to know. STILL, I would recommend to avoid sex. But in the worst case scenario, at least it's unlikely you will become pregnant and be forced to have the baby against your health and will.

In my experience, it's not especially women. So many men come at me with the most inane things to say, and expect me to be all fascinated at their wondrous uniqueness and vast knowledge in some subject that they know absolutely nothing about. I am just speechless at it.

I think they are unable to fathom that we genuinely are not always obsessing over them. Maybe it's the main character syndrome. As if it's hard to believe that we actually have lives and inner thoughts of our own, and those are not always centred on a man!

Honestly, I would suspect manipulation rather than emotional regulation issues. Read "why does he do that" by Lundy Bancroft for more info.

Well, considering I got diagnosed in my late thirties... After having problems and seeking help for it almost all my life. It was discovered by accident due to a different procedure. So in fact, they NEVER listened at all. I don't think this is uncommon. I'm sure there are many shadow cases here, because after all the official diagnosis delay numbers are for the women who got a diagnosis at all in the first place.

Yeah, I feel like the latter is becoming more and more common in humans.. I see very few men who are a net positive addition to the family these days. I do know a few. But they are not the majority. (And there might of course be additional negatives even there that I do not know about).

It is a majorly good thing though. I see so many women out and about without makeup now. Flat shoes, comfortable but still stylish clothes. I love it. Imagine how many hours/year saved for all these women combined, and they are more comfortable to boot. Honestly, I hope this will be a long-term change. Our comfort and happiness matter!

I honestly thought it was. Do we know it's not? 🙃 I really want to believe a man wrote it though. That would make my day better.

A divorce really shows you who your true friends are. It can be incredibly painful, but in the end it is a good thing. You don't want those people around anyway, they don't care for your wellbeing.

This is such a marvellous idea! Is there a way this network could be arranged safely? I will have an extra room in my house next year, so I could totally help someone out then.

I mean, the developmental stage of obsession with genitals is like 4 years old.. They literally are stuck at the brain development of a small child. It's sad, really.

There is a truth to this, even if it might seem counterintuitive. We tend to project, and believe that since we want to be good to people, they would want to also. Therefore us being upset would make them reconsider. This is a fallacy. It is something I've been working on recently. Negative attention is still attention, and men are regularly provoking us on purpose, for that reason. They want the attention, it is rewarding to them. Us getting riled up is a direct reward to them, in and of itself…

I was so against this viewpoint for YEARS. Most of my life. Because I was perfectly able to be friends with men. With time, unfortunately, it turned out that ALL my male friends were completely inept at being friends with women. I am not friends with a single one of them anymore. It still saddens me, it's just so ridiculous. But now, I agree with you. I have become wiser.

I've had this same disappointment too, with every single male friend. Including my best (ex)friend for ten years. I'm not bothering with male friends anymore, it's not worth the heartache.

That's a great idea. I haven't seen that option on reddit before, so I'm not aware if it is possible. But it should be!

I get what you are saying. I would like to mention here that both I and my daughter have aspergers. I have little experience with the rest of the autism spectrum, so I can only comment on aspergers. Everybody seems to be aware of the negative sides, which is good I guess, but there are also really good sides to it. We dare go our own way, and do our own thing. We are knowledgeable and creative. We LOVE to talk about the things that interest us, share our knowledge and help people. Both her and I…

Interesting, I've had mostly male cats (and all neutered anyway), I didn't know this. And as you say, it is a problem in female cats. Male cats are apparently fine then, without sex (although I will add, entirely better creatures when neutered, take from that what you will. I know of exactly zero people who will voluntarily have an un-neutered indoor male cat).

You are absolutely right. And the bottom of the line is, if they are not willing or able to listen to you and put in some effort, if they are not showing caring through their actions, the reason why doesn't really matter. They are not the one for you.

This is so true. I have started to gain this understanding as well. I don't need anybody else's permission to live my life in peace and quiet how I want. If I'm not hurting anybody, and I didn't ask for advice, then I am not so interested in their opinion.

I think you have a valid point here. (I am in no way against sterilisation, and will probably go that route myself at some point - I also have a child already). Honestly, the most effective way - both in short-term and long-term - would be to be more direct - sterilise the violent males. PS. I am a biologist, so this is from a biologist's viewpoint.

Wow, that is hard core. And imaginative to boot. Props to her. She even managed to visualise a beautiful ending to a horrible situation in the same sentence. I have so much respect for her.

In my country it is illegal to pay/receive money for any kind of bodily donation, including organs and blood. People still donate blood etc. It is a way to make sure that there is no trafficking or exploitation of people - there is no financial gain to be had. There is no reward other than being happy about helping someone out. It is a good system, and I wholeheartedly support it.

Honestly, I feel like that is just another projection. We all know who gets stuck with the work, costs, stress and life-long commitment with a baby. And it's not them.

I tried therapy (for over a year), but it wasn't for me. Whether it was a bad match, or the specific process just not working for me, I don't know. However, I did a LOT of self-work, reading, discovery of myself and my boundaries. I have endless hours spent with books, workbooks, other reading, and self work. I read about various therapy techniques and used them on my own. Eventually, it showed great results. It was gradual, and took a long time and a lot of work. I still work on it. We never ge…

At least we have reached it at that age. 30s is not old. We have a lot of time left in our lives that we can enjoy in relative peace.

They can't. That's why they are such miserable, pathetic ragers. But of course they don't want to admit that to themselves, so they will always blame it on other people.

Curled up lips (if I am guessing correctly at the expression you are indicating) is contempt. If guys send you pics with that expression, it is not a good sign.

I'm not so sure their libido is higher than women's. It's just a different situation. Our libido can be intermingled with the fact that sex can often be disappointing, or outright dangerous. Our libido gets quenched by fear, worry, sadness, tiredness from overwork, and the ick of being objectified and used. When I feel safe, comfortable, happy and valued, my libido is definitely up there! I was in a relationship where I felt like that, and my libido was higher than his.
