It's actually being supported by feminists.

Of course not, the death penalty as a whole is a flawed mess. If so, why label it as "discrimination"? They were quite willing to execute her before the drug trafficker handed herself in.

They reprieved her because the person who recruited her as a drugs courier surrendered to police, not because she's a woman. In fact, the person who gave themselves up is a woman, and could face execution herself. Edit - Updated reports are suggesting that the reprieve is only temporary so that she can testify in any case against the person who allegedly forced her to traffick drugs.

This is an SJW and "radfem", noone will take her seriously apart from other whackjob SJWs and radfems. The idea that PIV is always rape is extremely anti-feminist and both misogynistic and misandrist.

And did you read half of the comments on rage? Many people were saying that a lot of men's bathrooms have baby changing facilities, whilst one even said that the photo is probably very old because B&N don't use that wallpaper anymore, and haven't done for years. The highest comment on rage is from a father - "First off, a LOT more Mens restrooms have changing stations then they used to. In fact, some are unmarked. Second, what really sucks, it is the kid that gets the shitty end of the stick. I …

My knowledge of the US divorce system is very low, but aren't feminists demonised and ridiculed in the US? Why would they have so much power over the divorce courts?

So just one single instance of this happening to a mother would mean that this wasn't a men's rights issue?

Of course it's unreasonable. Why would a male psychologist necessarily have a better understanding than a female psychologist?

But that's just a personal anecdote, not evidence of anything. You could be just saying that to prove your point.

Why would he? Do you know this for a fact, or is it just an assumption of yours? To be quite honest, you sound like an SJW, assuming that a member of a group is always a victim specifically because of their membership of that group.

I think this one is a bit different though. I'd say the dad did screw up by not giving the kid dinner, but should not be deemed an unfit parent because of it. Why is it different? I also think the fact that a mother can phone a psychiatrist and report the fathers activity and that activity is taken into account in the psychologists report is deplorable. I think any parent doing that to the other parent of their child is deplorable.

So what if the psychologist had been male?

Then you see why I don't perceive it as a men's rights issue, because whilst you don't think it would have happened if the sexes were reversed, I think that his sex played no part in what happened.

I don't know how you are making that assumption, but OK. Yes, I think men should have a safe place to discuss things. However, you seem to want an echo chamber like Tumblr, where noone who doesn't entirely share your views is welcome. You see, the key word in my post is "think". That means it is my opinion. I didn't say I "know" it had nothing to do with his sex, because that would imply that I was stating a fact.

Of course they are, men make up half of the parents in the world. I just don't think it had anything to do with his sex and everything to do with the child's mother thinking that somehow he was unfit to look after that the kid because he didn't give the kid what he wanted. Asking why someone posted an article is "shaming"? Are you sure it's not you who is the SRS troll?
/r/MensRights07/11/13 11:23 PM

Except that I'm not a SRS troll, and don't support them in any way. I'm asking because it seems that this has just been posted in here because it happened to a man. I have no problem with men having a safe space to discuss men's issues, but there's a difference between doing that, and assuming that every time a man is victimised that it's because of his sex.

Yes, easily. It's a stupid reason regardless of whether the parent was male or female, anyway.

How is this "mens rights" exactly? It's got nothing to do with the parent in question being a dad, and everything to do with the mother being an idiot who thinks he is an unfit parent for not letting his child eat fast food crap.

That's certainly true.

"This is a result of: • the decline of manufacturing • the falling rate of unionization • technological changes that reduced the demand for unskilled manual labour • the growth of the service sector." You mention the reasons in your post. What do you think should happen, because a lot of jobs have become obsolete throughout history? Maybe men should look to get jobs in the more secure areas? Society might frown upon men working in more traditionally female sectors, but that shouldn't stop anyone…

This is something that really annoys me. I don't have the highest sex drive in the world, and even in a relationship it would take me some time to be comfortable enough with my partner to have sex with them. But as a man I'm expected to want sex all of the time. Some people even think erections are a sign of being horny, when most of the time it's involuntary and can happen even when a man is anything but aroused. And some of the replies on that thread are so childish - "hurr durr, you're dating…

Congratulations, almost namesake! I'm not a father myself, and won't be for a long time yet, but I do agree that the vast majority of parenting guides are geared towards the mother, when it should be for both parents.

To be fair, it only scares one woman away, not all women. The real reason will most likely be because women generally don't do things like edit Wikipedia online, they tend to be found on social networking sites.
