I have left reddit for Voat due to years of admin mismanagement and preferential treatment for certain subreddits and users holding certain political and ideological views. The situation has gotten especially worse since the appointment of Ellen Pao as CEO, culminating in the seemingly unjustified firings of several valuable employees. As an act of protest, I have chosen to redact all the comments I've ever made on reddit, overwriting them with this message. If you would like to do the same, ins…

It gets better: According to the main article, she blamed the entire experience in the fact that she used cocaine the night of the threesome, her first time ever. Which she attributes to her lack of judgement. So why did she file the False rape charges? Well according to her, he BF is "violent and controlling" and she no choice but to lie. And the sickest part part is? She got pregnant 6months prior to her sentencing knowing full well she was facing jail time. Playing the ultimate sympathy card.…

That close up on the dark-haired girl's face as her bf preaches about the "past being the past" is so damning. She knows she's got some serious skeletons in the closet.

Same here. AWALT is real. I have to consistently remind myself of this. It takes a concentrated effort but this woman's story will make the task that much easier.

She learned her lesson. The feminist movement is destroying a generation of women and she can see it. At the same time, I do believe the average american woman watching this segment would probably side with her. She's making perfect sense.

The more I hear this woman talk, the more I applaud the guy that put the ring on her finger. The host was having none of it. It is clear she had an agenda to push and was not going to budge an inch. What a disgusting human being.

This sounds extremely risky. Could she not turn around and say you coerced her against her will?

Chi Phi men are men of character (shameless plug). I am glad my brother had the courage to speak out on this issue.

The double standard certainly exists. As a 2nd grader bored in class, I would clean my fingernails with scissors. My female teacher wasn't too happy about it. Principal's office for me...

Right, violation of key access. Probation or even termination at my university. In this case, given the intent, termination.

agreed, I intend on having this close to my chest for future inevitable discussions on the subject. If OP could modify the image to include citations, that would be stellar.

The funny thing is the professor basically said that to me. " look what you've gotten yourself into. The women in this class are never going to talk to you again." He said it jokingly but the damage was done. I could care less, I'm not too bad with the ladies if I may say so.

Professor ended the discussion when he realized the counter points to my arguments were weak anecdotes and personal stories about wage discrimination. The facts were clear cut. But I walked away feeling like I lost given the professor did not want me to succeed.

Especially stem fields! They literally throw money at women to major in the Maths and or sciences. Guess what? Ladies still don't care.

Exactly! I was so pissed about the discussion (or lack thereof ) in class that i immediately engaged a guy that was in his late 30's but dressed like a professor and I showed him the stats. He tried to be diplomatic and please both sides but after some pushing he said yes," women earn less because they fall into social conceptual traps that tell them they shouldn't be doctors but nurses, or shouldn't go into STEM fields but the culture is anti female. That attitude keeps them in lower paying job…

Here you go, sorry it took so long. I've been in Cancun for Spring Break http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/doublex/2013/08/gender_pay_gap_the_familiar_line_that_women_make_77_cents_to_every_man_s.html

I've begun to realize this. Sadly, it's my senior year in college. I essentially told my professor, the same one, about the state of U.S. education and he did not disagree.

As you would expect, They responded with personal stories of friends try knew it people they knew that weren't making the same amount as males. The males in the class were silent as if it were a taboo subject they were not allowed to talk about. But it was a silent support of the women's argument.

I spoke up about the pay gap fallacy in my Polisci class and met opposition from the professor, males, and females. All I did was cite the US Bureau of labor Statistics saying that women working alongside men in the same capacity, industry get paid the same.
