You can't really prove a negative. It's funny you say that. First of all she has to proof that it actually was him. Him leaving a/his key there makes that seem even more unreasonable. First there has to be evidence indicating that it was him and even if there is enough of that he only needs reasonable doubt and not proof that it wasn't him. normally i think "look at this one case of this one girl doing this and that" posts don't belong here ( *), but this one actually does: it illustrates that men - even the ones that are physicly stronger - can easily become victims of domestic voilence. i think many people still can't imagine how it works. I ran across one man who never admitted to any gaps in knowledge. Whenever someone would try to tell him something, he would blithely say, "I knew that." He didn't last long as a counterterrorism analyst. as soon as people start using anecdotes as proof i get highly suspicious...
