Equally if not more terrible for young women's health if the suicide stats are anything to go by. Huge rise in suicide amount young women since the advent of social media. Still far below the male rate, but the rate of increase clearly shows you something happened with social media.

Women contributed equally to farm work A woman doing 10 hours field work will not equal a man's 10 hours. Stuff like shelling peas, maybe, but not threshing, reaping, plowing etc. Sure they contributed equal time though - everyone worked every hour of daylight.

men had more opportunities Noble Men had opportunities for power through warfare and marriage noble Women had opportunities for power through marriage and sometimes warfare - Margaret of Anjou for example. But a serf was always a serf.

It was not true in the Middle East either, in fact it was particularly untrue barring more recent extremist sects in this and the last century. WIKI: In the early Middle Ages, an early effort to improve the status of women occurred during the early reforms under Islam, when women were given greater rights in marriage, divorce, and inheritance. The Oxford Dictionary of Islam states that the general improvement of the status of Arab women included prohibition of female infanticide and recognizing …

Tsk, all these absolutist statements are historically illiterate. They leave out, where and when? The 'past' could be 5 years ago. or 10000 years ago. Different societies had entirely different rules... It is simply not true that for all history in all places 'women were treated like property'. Slaves were often treated like property but again there's variations within slavery. And both men and women have been and still are enslaved. It is simply not true that for all history in all places 'wome…

"For EQUALITY MEN need a SEAT at the TABLE" Men already have a majority of the 'seats at the table' if that table is the boardroom table, the political executive table, the judicial table, the law enforcement table - basically all the 'tables' where naked power is wielded. So your slogans need work. This is like "The future is female" in terms of how it can be misconstrued. "More men in education" would be mine.

School is not supposed to always be fun end engaging, I probably hated few subjects and some teachers, but you burry your head in a book, do your homework, burn midnight oil etc.Are you going to tell me that males are incapable of doing that? Most are not going to comply unless you make them. The class clown is the class hero, sticking it to the man in many cases. We managed to learn latin, advanced math etc because we got a stick or a strap if we didn't. You can call that "violence against chil…

That's putting it mildly. Media and NGO's portray life for women as a hellish type of existence, living in perpetual fear under an oppressive patriarchy which is everywhere and all powerful, while almost every women is subject to sexual assault on a daily basis by men, the majority of whom are rapists or at the very least "creeps". Meanwhile no matter what job they get, they will only get paid a fraction of what men get, while they have to do 4 times as much work! It's a bizarre outlook very rem…

That's because it's a commercial station and that's what advertisers want to hear. "Now listeners, call in and give us your honest opinions on cyclists" - because they know most listeners are in cars. The pseudofeminism sells ads that would otherwise go to RTE.
