I honestly don't think they're as big as danger across the party in general since of the two, the Dems are less in a stranglehold of the far left than the GOP is of their extreme kool-aid drinkers. That said I still get the fear is there all the same. The party is in general well-meaning but also super hypocritical in so many ways. Though I will say that part of the reason I think some, not all, places that voted red when they used to vote blue was due to gerrymandering. Yeah I thought about it and while both are fucked up, the only real difference being in that one can end fucking up the other physically if the girl ends up pregnant at such a young age.
