Your post essentially boils down to: Women often speak about their opinions like they're absolutes but seek to add nuance when they feel someone fundamentally misunderstands something. Which is just normal human behaviour. Do you add caveats to all the things you say? I know you don't because I can point to a place where you haven't in this very post. How come the "two different women" crowd only ever bring up this argument whenever men are talking about not wanting to approach woman due to not …

Is this not the same points that insecure men make about women? Is that the point of the post? To show the double standard?

This still proves that your experience is only anecdotal because myself and my guy friends would kick out a guy friend who cheated too. I mean depending on how he presented it to us. It'd either be Immediate kick out and tell his partner or "Hey man, you gotta tell your partner or we will for both of your good."
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 11:23 PM

My argument is the next line, I don't think he would. That's my only argument because I'm giving an opinion on something that is inherently untestable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 10:45 PM

If you truly believe that a well adjusted unattractive man would settle for a sex robot/AI girlfriend then I don't know what to tell you. I don't think he would.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 10:35 PM

Nobody is settling for a sex robot/AI girlfriend only because they're unattractive. There's something more going on there.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 10:28 PM

The type of man who would settle for an AI girlfriend or a sex robot was never going to be a good partner. It's essentially the trash taking itself out.

Constant vigilance is the mindset of an anxious man. I'm not constantly sizing guys up because I'm not constantly insecure about my own capability.

I don't think anyone has a problem with childless men not dating single mothers. The problem is when you speak about them with contempt and like they are unworthy of finding love. I don't date single mothers, never been an issue for me because I'm not an asshole about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/25 01:55 AM

I do think it is somewhat exaggerated. You can learn and advocate for what you want if you really like someone. I think that it exists in some ways, libido, willingness to do certain acts, etc. Unless there is a major imbalance then breaking something off over "sexual compatibility" (without first attempting to solve it) just means you aren't really that into the person.

A big part of this post hinges on dating apps being a fair indicator, which we already know to be a poor method of vetting and doesn't account for many factors that can make a person far more attractive in person. Bad pictures, unknowingly 'red flag' looking bios, too much information given, not enough information given, etc. They give information that someone might decide is disqualifying when all they have is 6 photos, a few sentences and like height, job title and whether they drink or smoke …

I think a better way to phrase it would be "sex is intimate for some people". It's an incredibly vulnerable activity and while some may be able to be that vulnerable just for the fun, others experience it as extremely intimate. The fact that I can tell a random stranger my deepest fear doesn't change the intimacy that action holds for other people. In the same way someone else's ability to have sex with a stranger doesn't negate the intimacy of having sex for myself and others who feel it to be …

The other thing is even if there were data to say bi men cheat X% more, statistics can't be applied to individuals in that way. So while as a group it might be X% more, that doesn't mean that any given individual is X% more likely. So there is no data to support that bi men cheat more, but even if there was it's a weak argument to not date bi men.

Protect you? May I ask in what way? Like an older sibling protects a younger sibling is the way it was described to me. I've gotten a lot of, "you're too pure for this world" and "I want to protect you from the world". My friends who are women also insist on vetting people for me because they think I'd be a prime target for a manipulator. Are these women older? Not significantly. I tend to like women who are a little older than me. I've heard it from women my age and women up to five years older…

The difference is that for trad folks it's "this is what you should be" and for non-trad folks it's "this is what you shouldn't be". One is a hallway that you can only travel in one direction and the other is an open field with a fenced off area that says "don't go beyond this point".
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/25 05:00 AM

I'm reserved and risk averse. So I simply don't approach or initiate enough. I've also had women tell me I give energy that makes them want to protect me rather than date me, so I imagine that plays a factor too.

You're still not directly interacting with what I'm asking. Is a woman being attracted to a passing trans woman without bottom surgery straight? And vice versa for men. I just think that breaking sexuality down to genitals does a disservice to the actual descriptive power of sexuality. If a man only dates women, whether trans or cis, what purpose is there to call him anything but straight? If sexuality could be broken down by genitals then surely a straight woman could theoretically only ever da…

I feel like you haven't interacted with the heart of my reply though. Would a woman who is attracted to a passing trans woman who has a penis be straight? Would a man who is attracted to a passing trans man with a vagina be straight? I don't think you can honestly answer that with a yes to either of those.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 03:38 AM

I think this is a very simplistic view of sexuality because I wouldn't call a woman who is attracted to Hunter Schafer straight (assuming Hunter hadn't had bottom surgery, idk her actual status and it's none of my business). I wouldn't call a man attracted to Jordan Gonzalez straight (again assuming Jordan hadn't had bottom surgery, idk). So clearly there is at least some factor that secondary/tertiary sex and gender characteristics play in determining sexuality. I think that genitals can be a d…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 02:02 AM

In the scenarios that you described I fail to really see people as attractive or unattractive. I just see a group. When it comes to actually interacting with people and taking in their features I probably find 70-80% of women attractive enough to date. As I get to know people I tend to find them more attractive.

When someone’s entire transition story starts with “I started experimenting with feminization porn and realized I’m a girl,” that’s not gender dysphoria. I see no reason to believe that this is the case for any significant number of people. No evidence points to it and anecdotally I've literally never heard someone say that. Also if they were already feeling dysphoric then fetishising it could be a way to protect themselves from the bad feelings, idk just a thought.

To be fair top only fans earners don't actually tell you what men want. It tells you who has the most men willing to be separated from their money attracted to them. Also people generally search for more extremes in porn than what they actually want. To be clear, I do think that men overstate their distaste for cosmetic surgery. For the most part they simply don't want obviously botched cosmetic surgery. I just don't think your example was a good one for proving what you were saying.

In theory sex work is fine, in practice I can't think of a way for it to exist that does not lead to some form of exploitation of either the creators or consumers. That's why it's a very shaky subject for me. I can't seem to come to a concrete position on it because there is always a variable that feels wrong or unaligned with my values.

It's also just the taboo. The more 'acceptable' pornography becomes the less taboo, and therefore some of the 'magic' is gone. People seek more extreme stimuli to gain that edge of taboo. Most people don't want something as extreme irl as what they watch.

Nope. Are you initiating with women?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/25 12:20 AM

Work on the things you can control, don't worry about the things you can't. It will be more difficult than it is for taller men, but at the end of the day focussing on that fact isn't helpful.

Because your dirty clothes are in the hamper and she's cleaning. Why not? Maybe it's the autism but I would hate someone else doing my laundry. She has said that though Even if she has in the past, I do think it's something I'd want to be hearing with relative frequency. Like maybe I'd be fine not hearing it everyday but a few times a week at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 11:47 PM
2

Sex is the primary benefit in friends with benefits. Why would she do my laundry? We would both cook. I take care of sick friends all the time. Marriage assumes that the relationship is going well, which it wouldn't be if she never told me she loved me. Like I said, romantically reserved is fine (I'm also romantically reserved, though I have had to learn to do more romantic things). But outright no 'I love you' would be a relationship killer.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 11:33 PM
1

The only things you listed that are things I would be upset by are not saying 'I love you' and no pet names. Those, to me, are necessary to define that this is a relationship and not just a friends with benefits situation. So I guess my answer would be, I'm okay with romantically reserved women but not women who aren't romantic.

Being nice is the descriptor used when you have no other notable descriptors. I.e. the guy who is funny and nice is a funny guy, the guy who is strong and nice is a strong guy. If the only descriptor people have for you is 'nice' then it means you don't have anything worth noting about you.

You're halfway there. She can make any decision she wants. She can also ask her partner to essentially adopt that lifestyle too. If they are entering a relationship with the goal of marriage and she has set a limit of no sex until marriage she is well within her rights to expect him not to have sex with other women. If that is a deal breaker for him then that's a deal breaker and he should break up with her. To simplify my point, yes you can expect those things but if he doesn't want to do them …

You've just described a bad friendship nothing specific to women. My experience of friendships with women has been mutual support and platonic love. The friendships I have with men and women look extremely similar, the only difference is that I've had friends who are women set me up on dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 11:43 PM

Do you not play online games and not go to nerdy spaces? It's very easy to find women who game.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 11:39 PM

Sexually aroused? It's so infrequent that I can think of the last time it happened specifically. It was before I had ever had sex, I hadn't masturbated in over a week and I was at a festival where there were women wearing almost nothing and dancing provocatively like three feet in front of me. In day to day life it pretty much doesn't happen. The most is that I see a girl and think to myself, "Prettyyyyy!!" But realistically I don't have sexual thoughts running through my head unless I'm pent up…

I don't think we're ever getting to a point where AI girlfriends are common. It's like sex dolls. They're getting realistic but it's not really popular. They have a niche who doesn't care that it's lifeless and they need to wash it out afterwards. In the same way I think AI girlfriends have and will continue to have a niche that doesn't care about the aspects that make it clear this isn't real connection with a human.

It depends, sometimes they're just pieces of shit. Sometimes they don't feel worthy of marrying her yet. The former is pretty easy to understand I think, so I'll explain the latter more. I have met men who aren't happy with their finances or in one case his emotional intelligence, and they delay marriage because they want to be the man that their partner deserves when they get married. It's stupid, self destructive and actively harms the relationship, but that's not what he's trying to do.

There is no way to open the possibility of the death penalty that doesn't hold the risk of an innocent person being given it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 10:56 PM
3

Punishments are not one offs. Giving the ability to decide to kill someone to the legal system means that there is the potential for an innocent person to be put to death. Therefore the death penalty shouldn't be an option.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 10:09 PM

I'm personally against the death penalty because even if it's exceedingly rare, the potential that even one innocent person could be killed because of a flaw or mistake of the legal system is so unconscionable that I'd rather no one be put to death.

You have a partner who you now need to run many of your most important life decisions by. That means that you will often need to compromise or stall on things you want. There is still a level of personal autonomy but if you want a happy marriage you will include your partner in your decisions.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/25 11:10 PM

The orgasm gap is caused by a complex weave of factors and I don't think it's possible to truly know the primary reason. Each instance will be somewhat different and have different solutions. The only universal is that if you have a partner and you care about the relationship but you're not orgasming during sex you should talk to them honestly about it. And for the love of god never fake it in a relationship.

I think the main reason people struggle to get over feelings for a friend is that they hold onto it too long. I think if you notice you're developing a crush you should talk about it early. Don't wait months. I have done this with multiple friends. It's a lot easier to move on and stay friends when you've only had a crush for a week or a few weeks and then talked it over.

Some people need this advice, some people need the advice that it's okay for a partner to not be perfect. It all depends on what they naturally do. I know many people (men and women) who have taken on partners that needed to be dragged to decency because they saw potential in them. I've also seen people who refuse anyone that shows imperfections. The former needs this advice. The latter needs to be told that it's okay to have a partner that needs to work on some things.

Crazy how I literally described poorly designed studies and your immediate reaction was that it's anti-science. No it's the most pro-science thing you can do. Most people don't have strongly held opinions on pretty much any of this. They're just living. They might have thoughts but they aren't an opinion in that sense. They're thoughts that generally change with what is socially acceptable. Most people go with the flow, too busy trying to survive to actually form a strong opinion. So long as they don't run into some major difference in what they want vs what they get, they'll likely never form an opinion.

If you would dodge questions or lie about it to your partner, it's emotional cheating.

This is a case of "a little bit of column A, a little bit of column B." Socialisation has caused a lot of men to believe they must be the higher paid 'breadwinner' in their relationships and this is often reinforced by at least a portion of women. So many men will see a financially successful woman and think they cannot add significantly to their lifestyle, causing them to preemptively write off the possibility of a relationship. At the same time many successful women who are willing to date men…

I don't understand why you guys continue to torture yourselves by assuming dick size is measurably important. Most women do not care. The ones that do aren't going to lie to you about it 90% of the time. The most important thing in sex is that you can make her feel good. Women use having a small penis as an insult because it's an easy shot that hurts the feelings of most men.

I don't hate OnlyFans models but I do hate the system of incentives that cause them to invade all spaces with what I would call 'soft promotion' of their OnlyFans. That's not even to say they can't have communities outside of porn, like OnlyFans models who twitch stream are fine. OnlyFans models who use their twitch streams as a funnel to get men (and let's be honest a lot of teenage boys) onto their OnlyFans are annoying and problematic. As an autistic man I often forget that people ask questions that don't mean what they're literally asking. That's a failure on my part to remember that not everyone is as literal as me. My working theory is that she was trying to ask that, and that the reason she wanted to ask is because my language was too expressive and also literal when talking about my ex. No. Mum's basement? Fine. It's rough out there, housing is a major expense. Messy living space is fine (not ideal but I also live in what I call 'organised chaos' so I'm probably messy to a lot of people) but dirty is not. It's really strange to me to obsess over something you can't control like your size. If you're worried about pleasing a woman, learn how to use your hands and mouth well. I promise very few women will be disappointed by a slightly below average penis on a guy that can make her orgasm. Are there some out there who may still be disappointed? Sure. In the bigger picture it doesn't matter if the date goes nowhere. The dude with a shitty personality has what it takes to get dates. But nothing more. Would your goal be completed if you were able to go on a bunch of first dates that went nowhere? Do you think the company views the most important aspects as what gets you the interview or the thing that gets you the job? My entire argument is that based on taking different perspectives the answer changes, but you're literally only taking the perspective of a man struggling to get dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 03:06 AM

You're falling into the same trap that I think a lot of men do on this topic, you're viewing it only from a man's perspective. From the perspective of the woman who has options, personality is the more important aspect.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 03:00 AM
-1

Yeah, but from her perspective does it really matter that she goes on a date with a dude if he has a shitty personality and it goes nowhere? That's why I'm saying it's subjective. Depending on the position you take you're going to view different things as more important.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:56 AM

So this is sort of just laying out justification for why you view it as the most important factor. It could just as easily be said that getting to a job interview means diddly squat if you never get the job.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:54 AM

I didn't mean that it stops mattering. I think it's clear that more attractive people get away with more but I think it's also very much a case by case how much personality vs physical attractiveness is valued.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:41 AM

Most important doesn't necessarily mean the first thing she notices about you though. It can just as easily be interpreted as the thing that makes her keep seeing you. Or the thing that makes her fall in love with you. It's a subjective metric that can be interpreted many ways with equal validity.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:32 AM
1

That's true to an extent, but I also think that their are certain aspects that a fully cultural and learned that people find attractive or unattractive. Like for example, a man who dresses preppy isn't going to have much luck with a goth woman (most of the time). Even if they're "equally attractive". There are elements of looks, like style, that become more or less desirable depending on who you're pursuing.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:30 AM
2

I fully agree that both value personality, I think that pretty much every aspect of a person becomes important when dating at some point. I'm most talking about the disparity in what men view as the most important aspect for men to find a partner and what women view as the most important aspect for men to find a partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:24 AM
4

There is still undoubtedly a minimum threshold. It will be different for different women but there is certainly a point at which looks are impacting your ability to even start talking to a woman for more than a few minutes, though I do agree that there is an overemphasis on looks by many dudes who feel they lack them.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/25 02:02 AM
2

To the man trying to get picked? Certainly. To the woman picking? No. That's why it's subjective. Based on the position you take, the answer changes.

The answer is no in almost all circumstances. If your partner has a celebrity crush that they speak about enough to make you feel insecure you should talk to them about it. I mean first you should examine if it's actually that they talk about it a lot or if you're ruminating on an off hand comment, but then you should talk to them about it. You can tell your partner that you're feeling insecure and they can choose how they respond to that (in most loving relationships it will be to reassure you …

Why do you not think of it that way when sex is dissolving in the first place? Because it is mostly not an ACTIVE CHOICE made by the partner who isn't in the mood. If your partner is purposefully withholding sex as a means of control then yes, that would be them dissolving the relationship. If your partner just isn't in the mood, then the sex not happening isn't a choice they're making. Now if this was a planned thing that you agreed to and you bailing changes things like cost or even ability to do the pre-planned activity, then you'd be an asshole. You see the difference? Focussing on yourself vs focussing on yourself to the detriment of others.

It's degrading to be expected to prove yourself Is that not exactly what you are trying to get men to do? Prove themselves to you by taking you on a fancy date. But that's okay because? You have to put on your mask before helping others and all that. Rich people usually have to pretend to be nice until they get to an amount of money where money creates more money.

I could list you a bunch of reasons why monogamy works better for me that range from feelings of jealousy all the way to being autistic and needing time to become comfortable with other people. Even just not seeing/talking to someone for two weeks will set back my level of comfort around them, so just the logistics of being in a non-monogamous relationship would suck for me. It really does just come down to the fact that based on multiple factors about myself, monogamy works much better for me.

That's just not my experience. Nice people have always done and been treated better than assholes in my experience. The only exception has been in politics and industries where backstabbing is expected. (Edit: and even there a false sense of niceness is still usually required.) It's a good thing we use the modern definitions of words and not the etymological/archaic meanings, otherwise any 'terrific' ideas would be frightening.

People do not instantly associate being nice as being beneath them. But if you think that acting nice requires you act as though you're beneath someone they may start to treat you like it. I've known plenty of extremely kind people who I have seen as equal or even better than me precisely BECAUSE they were kind.

That depends on your view of what constitutes the most important factor of anything. That's also a different claim to your original, which is that it is ONLY based on looks. You've shifted because you were backed into a corner.

If I think of my ideal woman she's dressed pretty modestly. That's also just because I'm not a very sexual person and I often find things like flowy dresses to be aesthetically appealing vs being drawn to more revealing clothing. I don't think clothing would be a make or break for me. Like I'm not going to not date a woman because she wears low cut tops and mini skirts. But other men who like modestly dressed women for other reasons may be more likely to have it be a bigger deal. At the end of t…

It's literally not. That's just an incorrect statement. Does a company hire based only on qualifications if you need to have a certain degree to get an interview? Does a sports team bring in players only on skill if you need to have certain metrics to get a try out? If a person needs to be attracted to someone to give them a date, the date still plays a factor in whether or not they end up in a relationship. That means that they cannot be choosing partners based on ONLY looks.

Two things. 1) It would be weird to want to do things with your partner but be turned off if they enjoyed it too. 2) Fantasies aren't always a reflection of real world desires. Or more accurately, are often a more extreme version of what you really want. Sometimes you need more extreme and/or taboo stimulus to get off by yourself than if you're with a person. That goes for both genders.

It also depends on the environment. For me it's also about feeling othered vs feeling included. So I don't like having my feminine traits pointed out by men most of the time because it feels like they're telling me I'm different. Whereas when I'm hanging out with a lot of women, I'm cool with them pointing out my feminine traits. I'm even fine with non-masculine gendered language being used to refer to me. I think that at least some of the stigma probably comes from peoples perceived roles. Men are "supposed" to be providers, women are "supposed" to be mothers. You can be a provider with no children and even no wife but you can't be a mother without children. I don't think everyone thinks that explicitly but I think it's the root. Obviously I also disagree with that thought process but the question was why not whether I agree with the reason.

Academic research requires funding, do you think that a feminist researcher would definitely be able to get funding for that kind of inquiry? What would be the benefit for them in the time period, not us looking back now? A survey on the reported experiences of specifically women who were married in the past ~4 decades. Women's studies didn't become a thing until the 1980s and most other social scientific research was focused on far more lofty things. This absolutely false. As I said in my post.…

Feminism has always been a political movement for women's rights. Not an organisation that collects data. Because they're essentially saying 'too many jacked dudes exist and it's raising women's standards to the point that they expect you to be jacked'. 2) Obesity rising doesn't actually preclude a rise in jacked men. The more obvious answer is there are a group of women who like the aesthetic. 10 years ago less men had that aesthetic which meant that the men that did were in high demand. Now more men have that aesthetic so there is more competition for matches. There are still plenty of dudes who don't workout who have wives and girlfriends, so it can't really be that being ripped is an expectation.

I just don't think it is when there's a much larger thing that far more obviously is to blame. Misandrists feminists are likely the way they are because of that same capitalist forward march. They're both groups of people that are lashing out. You also assume all feminism is misandrist, which just isn't true in my experience. Incels also used to need to leave the house. They likely had a greater sense of community with "normal" people. Through both family and the community around them. Society always had outcasts but many incels are self selecting outcasts now.

The thing about psychology and reported preference is that perception is a major factor. What does "most important" mean? Does it mean the thing that gets you initial attention? Does it mean the thing that keeps you around? What I'm trying to point out is that this is a subjective measurement. Maybe to you the fact that women only give a shot to men they find attractive means it's the most important factor. Who said to give them a pass? They're arguing fallaciously. Treat them as though they're arguing fallaciously. But since we can't know if it's gendered, to treat it like it's gendered is stupid. /r/PurplePillDebate05/02/25 11:28 PM

Sure, theoretically I could be wrong. Women could do it at twice the rate of men. Women could do it at 20x the rate. Women as a whole could have done it one more time than men as a whole. In the real world though, there's no way to find out. So treating it as a generic human trait is more useful.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/25 11:17 PM
14

Because I have no reason to believe otherwise. There is no mechanism by which whether one does it more than the other would be verifiable. If I went off my own experience men do it more. If I went off OP's experience apparently women do it more. You literally just can't know which is correct so it's more useful to just treat it as a human trait and deal with it as and when you encounter it.

25 is the most agreed upon point at which a brain is usually done developing, that's why 25 is the cut off in my mind. The fact that I'm horny doesn't mean that I 'truly desire' to blow up my life or upset my partner which are consequences I'm capable of thinking of and understanding. My decision on what I 'truly desire' isn't based on impulses, it's based on an understanding of what I desire my future to be, the potential consequences of my actions and how they will impact my future.

In the average relationship, all of them. However, you can also decide in your relationship what boundaries you have. Maybe you don't care about them sending flirty texts, maybe you don't care about dirty dancing, maybe you don't care about kissing. Those are things that should likely be discussed with a partner. The simple answer is some men put in effort some men don't. The slightly more complex answer is some men have an easier time doing the "right things" in dating. If you create two boxes that make too many assumptions about the thoughts, behaviours and desires of those contained by them and then throw half the population in each because they share the same biological sex you're going to find that most people in the boxes actually don't fit in. This is why "gender roles" suck. They are all or nothing statements for groups that are as different in these aspects from each other as they are from those in the other box.

My mum definitely raised me to be aware that other people will have different expectations of a conversation than I do. A lot of it is just erring on the side of caution and being selective about what I say and adding caveats to make sure I'm not being misunderstood as well as reminding people that they can tell me if I'm overstepping even a little bit and I won't be upset (and also practicing that when/if they do bring it up). Thank you for your response :)

I swear to god sometimes it feels like people live on a different planet from me entirely. Most of my male friends aren't traditionally attractive and have met their SO through hobbies. It works. It's not even like they went to the gym to control what they could about their looks. Short and chubby, but they have girlfriends by being sociable people at their hobbies and having good hygiene. I have no experience with people in situationships and therefore have no opinion.

Is this a joke or are you being purposefully obtuse?

Real men is not a categorisation that I subscribe to. There is no such thing as a "real man". The video specifically refers to single mothers. I think someone being a single parent is a perfectly valid reason to not want to date them. I don't think anyone is under an obligation to enter a relationship that has factors they don't want to deal with. I wouldn't want to date a single mother because I don't want to be in a relationship where the options are being the second priority or knowing that I…

Some yes, some no. It doesn't really matter though.

I think "general truths" has already broadened the topic to the point of absurdity.

I find this kind of attempt to understand the differences between men and women's sexuality to ultimately be meaningless belly button gazing. Every single person experiences sexuality differently. "General truths" are rarely as general as you think. Also single men and women can definitely be friends. I'm single and friends with single women. It's not difficult.

I love these questions posts that proceed to make BIG claims in the body text. They're always so fun and DEFINITELY NOT getting old.

I think there is a big difference between living in fear and taking reasonable precautions. I think you'll find most women take reasonable precautions but don't live in fear. I say that most don't live in fear because that would look like never being close with any men (since it's most likely to be someone they know). I think men who are scared can take precautions when it comes to false accusations (though obviously they are probably less likely to happen) and a lot for them probably look the s…

I'm cool with it but I'd prefer not to know what she's watching. I know logically that she can be attracted to me and people who look nothing like me but I also realise that I'm a little insecure and may not be able to apply that logic to my emotional reaction.

I'd like a woman who likes me and doesn't quantify me as a risky or safe choice but instead the person she wants to be with.

some of them were drunk and didn't understand what they were reading. So presumably they read and signed this agreement while in a state of impairment to the point they couldn't comprehend it. So this isn't a case of women not taking accountability but of women being coerced and then suing because of that coercion.

There are a couple of things that i think would likely help men (not all but many): 1) Traditional talk therapy often doesn't work for men. Whatever reason that may be, it seems important that we create spaces where therapy isn't just talking in a room. There's a therapist near me who has a shit ton of male clients who love his therapy and feel that it actually really helped them when other therapists didn't. The difference? He takes them on hikes while they talk. They're doing an activity toget…

While I agree that pointing out that the average man isn't struggling doesn't help those who are I don't think that comparisons to rape are in anyway helpful or accurate.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 05:30 AM

I agree people lie to themselves and others about their wants and intentions. This is known. If you don't believe this is something that everyone does to some extent then you haven't paid attention to the people around you. Without others to hold them to account humans will justify their actions in any way that makes them feel better.

It depends, lack of intimacy is a killer in relationships and it can make you feel unwanted/uncared for. The way this specific spreadsheet is written does make him seem like kind of an asshole but it also strikes me as the same sort of thing as writing a pros/cons list about a partner. Something you do for yourself so that you better understand and never show to your partner. To me the bad behaviour here isn't the tracking but showing it to his wife. If he did this to make sure he wasn't just ge…

How can women who are celebrating their promiscuity realistically not expect unwanted sexual attention? Are you trying to say that enjoying consensual sexual engagement makes you less able to complain about unwanted sexual attention? Because that's an odd jump in logic to make.

I mean if they're visiting the webpage then they are seeking help so saying "hey you guys don't open up" is kind of counter productive. It's essentially preaching to the wrong audience. The guys who seek out help aren't the ones who need to be told to seek help.

Probably not. I don't think I'd be able to be with a woman if when I search her name I see other dudes having sex with her. Abstractly I don't care about sexual history but I'd prefer not to have it be so in my face. It's probably insecurity on my part but it's insecurity that is extremely unlikely to ever affect me or the people around me so it's not really worth the energy to focus on.

I think being desired is a fundamental want/need for most people. I don't just mean romantically desired but also just people wanting you around, desiring your presence. I think for people who don't feel desired they look to the most obvious example of being desired as the thing that's missing.

I agree that these stats don't really show anything and will add that there are lots of things you could try to explain them with, women having higher trait neuroticism, men having more social pressure to "fix" their relationship, I think I've seen stuff about high rates of abuse in lesbian relationships but I'm not sure if that's true and can't be arsed to fact check right now because my point is that the reality is we don't know and will likely never know. Each case of divorce is an individual…

Actually, being in physically good shape does help with premature ejaculation. Combining that with other techniques as well as knowing and adapting to one's own limitations will lead to the best outcomes for all.

As a general statement on the concept any partner will experience lust for people other than you unless you're dating an asexual person. Everyone should understand that on an abstract level. Should you tell your partner about this? Unless it's something you both enjoy then no you shouldn't. It's the equivalent of "I thought about doing a bad thing and I could have but I didn't." Of course you're going to question that person and if they will eventually or already have done that. Some thoughts ar…

I think this is a bias of the kind of people who are likely to discuss this topic. It's those with strong opinions. I feel most women truly don't think about, as don't most men. If confronted with it I think most people would say "weird, why would you do that?" And move on with life.
