Timely post - I was already planning on coordinating this in the next couple of months! Many of the consulate locations don't list 'visas' as a service offered there. Does anyone know if most consulates do offer that? E.g. I registered in Mexitel and went to setup an appointment which Boise is offering. In the services offered it doesn't say visas but their direct consulate website says they do. I'm going to call tomorrow but these consulates are notorious for not answering the phone.

It’s confirmation bias. The economy is going to shit, the middle class is disappearing, and central banks continue to pilfer everyone’s savings. Home values and stocks are increasing due to crazy inflation. Notice how while those market gains are happening, the price of lumber/groceries/everything else is going up too? It’s not a good thing in the medium to long term.

Agreed but I think it’s impossible to not be affected by this at all. I learned to code this year so I’m getting a web design side biz going, and also my beard oil/blog biz. Also have a day job so just like you I’m doing what I can to stay busy and come out of this better than before.

Check out kettlebells. Lots of BJJ guys (myself included) incorporate KBs into training. Get yourself a couple of them and you can do some awesome work, plus they don't take up much space. They do everything dumbbells do and then some.

Do you read at all? If not you really should. Check out the classics - if you want some specific recs let me know. Do something creative too. Learn an instrument or a language. I know it’s tough but gotta focus on improving yourself. Use this time as a great opportunity to do so. Lift weights, focus on your goals (map them out if you haven’t already), stay busy and productive.

I reread it once a year or so. It’s a short book in length but really deep so I like to read a chapter then take some time to reflect on it. Stoicism has/had the biggest influence of my life out of all philosophies so I can almost equally recommend Seneca or Epictetus too.

Yep, plus, you know, the GOAT himself Patrice O’Neal. Dude had game, charisma, and status. Not taking away from OPs points though because for most normal dudes just being in good shape means you’re well on your way to getting women. There’s also other variables at play though to become a top 10%’er.

It's all dependent on your body, so listen to it. Try doing a two-a-day with weights and some martial arts for a couple weeks and see how you feel. If your body starts to break down or you get injured more frequently you'll know. I do BJJ 3-4 times a week and lift 2-3 times per week and that works for me and my schedule but everyone is different. Most academies have multiple arts that you can train in and l they pretty much all offer free trials. Check out a few academies and martial arts to see…

This is why 5/3/1 incorporates a deload week. Try giving your body a rest - meaning 40-60% of your 1RMs, do some yoga, hike, etc.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
