“That’s cute babe, now can you tell me how sexy I look, that I’m irresistible and kiss me?” He might be into this direct order. Men don’t like to be called “cute”. Counter this by making him aim for sexy and other adjectives you are aiming for.

You might be mistaken for what some women’s real ages are. Most men don’t believe my age because I could pass for 25 at 34.

Find ways to organize things. Then things just belong in places. Pinterest has great ideas if you don’t know where to start.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this and your feelings are very valid. My own boyfriend is wonderful and I love him dearly, but I can relate to being with someone with a critical personality. Thankfully, he actually cooks more than I do because he truly enjoys it, but I get his criticism in other areas. His timing has been really bad at times, and he means well but the delivery is awful. In my own case, my boyfriend can be oblivious that his words are actually hurtful. I think it is okay to show …

Fit in a soccer player way. Nice flowy hair. Strong jaw line. Clean but not overly manicured.

One of the better posts I read. I am from low middle class and the only way a man from upper class would take me seriously for LTR or marriage was through my education (I have a doctorate). I don’t flaunt it though and I try to leave my boss-like attitude at the work door. With my fiancé, I am much more obedient, caring and attentive than in my work life. So yes, education and brains matter more so for those looking to level up. I do agree that some degrees and profession hold different weight t…

I can argue both sides of this. I used to see relationships as incredibly transactional and developed and seeked out relationships that supported this belief. What I later realized is that this can be influenced by different peoples’ love languages. It is a lot easier to view a relationship as transactional if love language is expressed in gift gifting or acts of service. The alternative may argue that simply “quality time” isn’t viewed as transactional in the traditional sense.

I’m not sure how you’re reading this, but I am explaining how mental and emotion stimulation is more important. Not sure how this is sexually objectifying.

Arousal for me does not come from physical attraction solely. Of course, I can be grossed out by someone who doesn’t take care of themselves but my arousal starts at probably a solid 5/10 on looks. Not your clean cut, fitness model type. Arousal for me comes from mental stimulation, twist me with your words and thoughts, show me your superiority and success, and tease me with your touch. And I will become putty.

Masculine qualities to guide and lead physically or even mentally to help me in difficult situations. My partner and I are equal socioeconomically but I am more emotional. So while I bring more romanticism, emotional communication, and physical touch to the relationship; he brings masculine energies to lead and direct which helps me immensely in both my personal social circles and work.

I wouldn’t call her a role model since I don’t have role models I do not know personally, but I adore how Angelina Jolie seems to carry herself. She is so full of grace, intelligence, kindness and somehow blends strength with femininity perfectly. She speaks openly about her past difficulties and uses her fame and money to give back when she could just sit back and enjoy her wealth.

I am currently in a relationship with a man 10 years older. He is well established in every regard at 45 and I am just starting my career, making a lot of moves and taking more risks at 34. In terms of profession and work, we are definitely in different places but we acknowledge it and I appreciate his wisdom here. I’ve always been attracted to men who are intelligent and can teach me things, which I haven’t found ever in men close to my age at any point in my life. Sometimes my naiveness and la…

Simple pieces are key! A maxi dress, dressier sandals, form fitting shirts, skirts etc

Yep. And this was just* for an IUD. The ignorance of some men on this topic is astonishing and unfortunate given recent events.

Female doctor here who follows this page. Ignore what people say and create the life you want. I do suggest you be mindful of the specialties that allow for a more “normal” lifestyle with less call and weekend work. Plenty of loving and supportive doctor-wives and mothers out there. I’d honestly stay away from surgical specialities but I’m sure it’s still possible. PM&R, pediatrics, some internal medicine subspecialties (endocrine, rheumatology, palliative care) are all incredibly lifestyle and …

Because they realize they are now financially dependent and have no outlet to make a living and their value as a partner diminishes with age (per societal standards) Queen Judy says it best https://youtu.be/vTrGm3GPlOE

I’d stay true to my commitment only if married. But we’d revisit the terms of the relationship so that we could both be happy. I’d expect the same if roles were reversed.

Read most. You seem to think all opinions that a woman has to be based on “triggering”. Interesting.

Thank you. I agree with you. I also think lifelong commitment is possible but knowing what our biological or subconscious processes may be doing to pull us in one direction is important to recognize. Most definitely have no idea what role basic biology plays. I think this means choosing the right mate even more important than basic financial security.

Jada is an abuser. Will is trying to set a boundary and she blatantly disregards it. He looks incredibly uncomfortable defending himself - the eye shifting, the restless hands, the cowering head posture. She is a manipulative narcissist. I’m a woman and I see this clearly, but I’ve also had first hand experience with the male equivalent.

The asshole game works for superficial connections. What else do you do other than “have fun together”? It’ll get old. And at some point so will you. If this is truly what is happening, the women you are finding are hoping to be “the special one” that will be able “to change you”. When she realizes that’ll never happen, then she will leave you. Sounds like you haven’t let things go far enough to prove that important fact.

People can want different things at different times. I went through times where I wasn’t at all interested in commitment but enjoyed the occasional connections, emotional, mental and physical. This happened more in my 20s when I was preoccupied with developing my career aka independence. I evolved and once my career got solidified and I knew I could sustain myself alone, then I was ready to welcome a man into my life but only with commitment which was two fold on why commitment: I worked hard to…

I love your insight. It’s true. I tend to too much masculine energy due to my career and independence but when I have my vulnerable moments, there’s nothing more comforting, loving and beautiful than when my man steps in to offer me calm protection. I melt and become a better partner instantly.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
