Hindsight is 20/20. Yes, the focus was on why you shouldn't get back with your ex and I hope that the takeaway for most is that if you let your dick do the thinking, you'll miss all the blaring red flags and end up in a shitty situation that ends up fucking you over. Even if I was "special" and she got divorced and we continued the relationship, shit would have hit the fan sooner or later. The first breakup ended on a high note, while she was on her best behavior, so there was always that "what …

To be fair to her husband, no self-respecting man with a sense of honour would touch a married woman. I agree mostly. My hamster was a strong little critter, though. This honour thing, however, I don't buy it. When a woman tells you she's checked out of the marriage and it's only a technicality (which turned out to be false anyway), that's a green light to go ahead. I asked her before we began dating if her divorce would be an issue. She assured me that she was as single as can be and will be di…

Thanks for your feedback. I was tempted to chop it down to less than 1500 words but I think for the guys that can relate, it'll help them gain insight on their situation. I read that breakup post on here 100 times but didn't believe it until I experienced it. remember to NEVER go back a third time ! I look at the good times separate from the obvious incompatibilities between us. Going back again isn't even an option. You occasionally read about couples that got back together and lived together t…

It's a wake-up call, for sure. I'm a lesser alpha (by Heartiste's measure) SMV-wise, and when I reached a higher level of women, I wanted to enjoy the fruits of my labour. So I settled in comfort rather than push my limits. The Red Pill, in my opinion, is more like a depth charge than a pill. It doesn't get absorbed slowly over time. Sometimes it sinks deep, and right when you think you can coast in peace, it blows up, rocking your entire world. These watershed moments teach us a lot.

On mobile, formatting might be messed up. Met a girl on the exact night her husband told her he wanted to break up. She was cool so I went for it with "I know this is terrible timing, but I'd love to take you out when I get back from my trip." Didn't have any expectations since I was in Paris the next day having a blast. Surely enough, she reaches out and we'd stay in touch until I got back. She'd initiate 90% of the time. Took her rock climbing when I got back (wicked date idea, by the way) and…

This is touched on in the FAQ, here. Please read the sidebar before posting. It comes down to what you want. If you want her to stay without commitment and she wants to be exclusive, you could probably wiggle around it using tactics but it's going to crash and burn eventually. If you want to risk the headache, go for it. If you want to spin plates, be honest with her. It'll suck for a while but save you the hassle in the long run.

Why? Not because you want to settle down, but the conditional I would rather have a small number of serious relationships with traditional, virginal women old-fashioned, good girl vs cock-mongering whore dichotomy you attach to your goal. Incorrect, I never said any of this in the slightest. Your OP implied that you wanted to settle down with the perfect virgin which is romanticized blue-pill thinking. I see what you mean by your reply. I agree with you, I prefer relationships over hookups as a …

Is there a word for this style of thinking? It's called blue pill. But seriously, you still have an idealization of the "perfect woman" and if you only find "the one" then you can be happy and never worry again. Life isn't binary. Most women fall in between the spectrum of Nun<---->Kim Kardashian. You gotta accept that you have flaws and the women you get involved with, do too. There are no unicorns, man or woman. You don't have to fuck a ton of women and chase ONSs. For a lot of guys it helps t…

She's definitely attracted to you but because of her religion, doesn't see you as a long term prospect. Plus you told her you're not interested in marriage - she is. You're not doing anything wrong except meeting up and bantering with your ex in the first place. One-itis blows - I've been there, but you have different long term goals and changing your values just for her would be weak. By pursuing her you give her attention and validation that won't get you anywhere. It makes it look like you do…
