I've been meaning to make a post about cooking. Cooking is a skill worth learning for many reasons that others have already covered. If you like to eat delicious food (and who the fuck doesn't) then you like to cook. You just may not know it yet. Do it for yourself. That said, there is great satisfaction to be found in pleasing others through cooking a fantastic meal for them. I know we're not big on validation around here, but we're all human. It feels good. I've been cooking my own meals for o…

This hurt my soul. It's such an easy meal to have done properly.

You have got to kill your ego and find true self-esteem. It's self-esteem. Self-worth. Self-respect. Self-identity. You define all of these things for your self. It does not come from others. The vacation suggestion below is a great one. You don't constrain yourself in vacation mode. You can be who you want to be, and you don't have the stress of the daily grind weighing you down.

When someone else becomes a part of your dreams they are destined to fail.

Learn to cook! Healthy eating can be delicious. It's not the flavorless nightmare you might think.

That's only a problem to you. Women dig it.

For anyone that is just getting started (or thinking of it) I just want to share my experience with you. I am in my late 30s. Lifting is something I have flirted with over the years. Thinking back, the times I was lifting are the times I felt the best. A couple of months ago I decided to get off my ass again and get back into it, and let me tell you, it was fucking hard. The first time I felt like I was going to die after. I struggled with weight I used to cruise through. But it slowly gets easi…

The bit about the water park made me laugh since I had a similar experience this weekend. I get where you are coming from. I think it'd be more useful to steer this into a strategy/advice post for single dads. I'm pretty new to it so it'd be useful to hear about experiences and lessons learned.

I have some. Since you're a young father youth is on your side. You're going to be 35 when your kid is 18. Stay in shape and plan for then.

If you're treating yourself better why the hell would you resent others for it?

My take is a lot of guys end up here after or in the midst of a breakup, sometimes already in the anger stage. Then they try to game their ex based on what they found here, it doesn't work, and they double down on that anger. The anger is healthy as long as it is a phase. In the case of your dad I think he still loves your mom and that's why he can't let go. Love and hate are the same emotion imo.

Good share. It's a shame the men who need to read it the most aren't here yet.

Not wanting kids is not selfish. It's who you are. You either want them or don't.

Not enough attraction. It's not your SMV if they went out with you, though you could have done/said something to lower it. If you built attraction you'll hear from them. 100%.

The elite university offers you access to elite connections, and if your goal is to go into business you will get value from those connections. So to me you have the two options backwards. Visualize each future and see where that leads you. Money is great but think about which path leads to personal growth if that is important to you.

This is one of the better explanations I have seen. The more I see posts about meditation the more I realize I am probably lucky. Meditating comes naturally for me and is something I have always done, without being aware of it. I think it might benefit me to add some structure to it.

Don't accept the man you are if that's not the man you want to be. Your tendencies might make that more difficult but you can overcome them if you can overcome the negativity. Start with the depression. It's feeding this view of yourself.

Most of the comments here are related to your age, but I just need to point out that you are on the right track with this. Always frame a date as "let's do this at x time" and not as "hey wanna do x?" Women want to be led. Lead. If you leave it open ended you just invite the hamster along.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
