It's not even "guilty until proven innocent" in most cases. Even if an accused man manages to prove their innocence, they are still seen by them and most of the general public as 'guilty' ( because, you know, women don't lie /s). The mindset is more similar to "guilty even if proven innocent"

As a fellow Israeli, can confirm. But I believe it's more like 2 years and 6 months for women, and 2 years and 9 months for men nowadays ( talking specifically of standard service). I've heard from some folks that women were given easements during courses, training and selection or something like that, don't know. If you thought that was it, don't worry. After the service women also get to pay less taxes thanks to the wage gap myth, amongst other easements.
