The thing that bothers me the most is how that person claimed men don't actually care about male abuse shelters, but just want to steer the conversation towards men. That stuff really gets under my skin.

The fact that some women generally is longer is useless as long as we don't know why. Choice / biology is a big factor in that. Is the average life expectancy really that different between sexes anyway? Also: say women live longer than men just because. Maybe they become less effective at work around the same age as men.

There are also laws in some states called 'Romeo and Juliet' laws.m; that make it possible to have a relationship under 18, if the age difference is two years or less. So 19 and 17 would be legal.

It was stated in the article that the judge convicted because he wanted to condemn 'hookup culture'. Laws are at times stricter than is necessary. That should leave room for a judge to apply them as strict as necessary. But when the judge is a mindless idiot...

I mostly meant women in general. Not sure about the whole Wu / Sarkeesian thing. I don't like 'em, but I think it's plausible that some idiot threatened them. And even if they wheren't threatened and the whole thing was a big sock puppet show; I think we as communities should heavily condemn online harassment.

Should it be 50/50 between all the bills? Sure as fuck no. Bollocks. It should be as 50/50 as possible. Even if men where for 95% part the influence of US history, women should still occupy 50% of cash. Why? Inspiration. The feeling of equality. I personally couldn't care less about whose faces are on currency, but if a young girl looks at it, she shouldn't have to wonder why there aren't any / so few women on there.

The big difference here is that the women he talked about in his recent segment where threatened with bodily harm. I don't care what names people call me, if they message me with my address and threaten to kill me I'm going to be very much afraid. That's why it's not comparable to OP's story.
