This is actually the best response I've seen to something like this. I always am skeptical when I hear professional athletes or others involved in a sexual assault scandal because I know not everything thing is cut and dry. I'll think I'll add this to my argument when people try to say I'm victim blaming. I just want to know all the facts before I decide who was wrong in the situation or whether the situation occurred as the accuser claims.

If you re-read what I posted, I did say it was excessive. I'll restate my opinion. The officer used force to take control of a non-cooperative individual. When you refuse to cooperate with law enforcement, you open yourself up for law enforcement using discretionary force to get you comply. I'm not saying it was right. I am saying that it reached this point for a reason and I'm sure it wasn't because she was being incredibly agreeable.

The point was not whether she was endangering the public. She obviously did something wrong that necessitated the input of an officer. She refused to cooperate. Thus, the struggle in the video. Now, the disconnect is on the flip onto the ground. I said that it was excessive and I'm sure that the officer if showed the video would agree that it was not his intent to flip her so hard. Please propose your socially acceptable method for controlling this situation. considering we don't have more video footage, we can only infer that as the video shows her refusing to cooperate with the officer and then the officer using necessary albeit a bit excessive force given the age to subdue the individual.

It's not as bad as people claim. It was just definitely not ok. But she was a child and curious about genitalia. While inappropriate, those who claim she is a pedophile or a molester are simply exacerbating the situation.

This story makes me seriously consider about criminal charges for people who make false rape allegations. Those guys in the fraternity are forever linked to this story. And there will be still people who believe that her claims are real and that she was just pressured to recant her statements
