turn there network off, What are you talking about? you can't turn off a digital signal to a single home. that would require someone to remove the aerial from someones home. TV isn't transmitted by wire you can't just cut a cable and be done.

there are so many ways to pay for your tv license if you can't afford it then you probably don't have the money to own a tv in the first place. £145 being payed in; Yearly, Quarterly; Monthly or weekly installments.

I'm not sure where you are from but in the UK "Oh you poor dear!" is universally a sarcastic response to someone complaining about a petty problem. so "Oh you poor dear!" and "grow a pair!" are essentially the same thing.

I would be surprised if this is the only course of this type they do. i believe they advertised this one in the way they have is because of the social boundaries women from some foreign countries face. near where i live in the UK it appears to be quite common in the Indian/Pakistani communities that the mother of the family is the only one who cannot speak any English. This then limits how much they can socialize outside the home and splits communities.

the impression i got from the comment was to teach kids the difference from right and wrong. not a direct teaching of do not rape, but morals. something a lot of young people these days seem to be lacking.

from my experience you have the part about exams backwards. including my self and many friends from back during school exams screwed us because it didn't really show are ability's but how well you can memorise the work. a review over the year would have given me a much better result, plus the fact of dyslexia just makes exam marking more annoying.

well my guess would be due to lack of advertising it would be word of mouth... I would the assume these people spreading it are women? and they are passing it onto there friends but not reaching men. I honestly don't know though. maybe they do advertise just in places women go in larger numbers than men, like gossip mags ect...

Its basically a second chance, usually given to first time offenders. so if she commits any crime in the next 2 years then she will have to serve the 12 month prison sentence. I guess it is because they don't want to have to pay for her to live in jail for a year, so they asses that she isn't likely to offend again and leave her fate in her own hands. What i wonder is if something like piracy (downloading music) could get her sent away? because if someone that knows her has it out for justice be…

hasn't society moved passed chivalry? It was a way for a man to keep control of a woman. aren't we trying to move towards equality? yes you still have to make an effort in a relationship but that goes for both sides. splitting the bill, holding the door (who ever gets to it first) a woman doesn't need help pulling out her chair. i believe chivalry has evolved into common curtsey, you see and you act on events. do feminists want equality but still want the benefits of chivalry?

you need to remember that is only one extreme. im sure there are a lot of men who commit suicide because of situations like this as well. but from reading the article you can tell this man cares to much about his daughter to do either of these things.

i don't believe if someone knows a man is getting abused by his partner people say to stay around, if someone knows anyone that is getting abused they are very likely to step in and try and help that person being man or woman. i might believe that a man is probably more likely to keep demotic abuse quiet or play it off to people as not a big deal maybe to not appear weak to people im not sure but when someone asks for help anyone i know would help that person.

I'm not sure if you are talking about being employed as a teacher or not but in the UK a male is at an advantage when applying for a job in primary/age 5-11 schools. as long as your just as qualified then the male will almost certainly get the job.
