I'll present an example of a debate for this: Random modern man: Women could always invent things so long as they were willing to pursue such efforts, but the truth is most people would not invent things in their lifetime, even when there were chances in front of them to do so. The typical line of argumentation is men were supported in modern society better to take advantage of things like academics and earning money to afford the "privilege" of inventing. This is an older feminist talking argument that no longer holds up as It's quite difficult to follow: one, because this is a strawman argument, and two, is now wholly outdated based on researched evidence.
