Gonna have to disagree with you. His attitude about drug addiction is almost entirely off base and disrespects anybody making honest efforts to come clean and make themselves better people. He also talks shit about kids he doesn't even know just for some cheap shock value. Also, I'm not quite sure why an entire category of people (single mothers) is being painted with the same brush. I can think of plenty of circumstances where someone becomes a single mom through no reasonable fault of her own.

"It seems to me I will cause more damage than justice requires if I sentence you to prison." I honestly don't have words to describe how disgusting this is, considering the crime is homicide.

Sex is fun, I fail to see the point of this. Edit: I mean consensual sex. Apologies for not being specific.

Jesus, this kid is in for a shitty surprise when he turns 18. It starts with a c and rhymes with "wild support".

This doesn't seem like a pussy pass to me, specifically because the end of the article states that a male with a similar case was also cleared. Both were treated equally.

I think they would mention that he's a father, if this was a man.

This post is literally taken straight from the incel subreddit. Some kind of stupid experiment with less scientific method than a bucket of cat piss. The profile is fake.

I'm not talking about feeling depressed either. I'm asking you if having depression excludes me from being a sane person.

Mmm can't do that, that's victim shaming. Common sense has no place in this discussion.

This article is from May 2016. Liltz received a four year prison sentence for this crime, which was suspended about three months later while it was appealed. The reason given by officials is apparently because her health was failing while in prison. In May of this year the appeal was rejected. The most recent status I can find is that her attorneys are deliberating on how to proceed, and she is still free on bond. Honestly this entire affair is nauseating. Her reasons for murdering a daughter sh…

"They are very remorseful for what has happened... They are very sorry the whole thing ever happened." Yeah, I'm sure they are. Just not for the reasons everybody is supposed to believe.

Eh, I don't think anyone should go to prison for this alone.

The article doesn't mention how they know these allegations are false. Is that in the videos?

"Please, show mercy! I have children!" It's funny that the judge is supposed to take that into consideration when the mother herself never did.

Well when you have concurrent sentences, you aren't quite combining them all into one sentence; you're just making it so each sentence is being served at the same time. I don't exactly know the criteria a judge considers when sentencing concurrently or consecutively, although I know prior offenses, severity of the offenses, and number of offenses certainly play into it.

Let's say a person is sentenced for two crimes and given two identical, concurrent sentences of 5 to 10. Then a year later, through appeals, it is discovered that the person didn't commit one of the crimes and the sentence is dropped. The person is still serving time for the crime they're still convicted for. If they were only given one sentence and that one sentence was dropped, then they would walk free despite still being guilty of the other crime. That isn't the whole reason for concurrent s…

2nd degree murder is when you kill someone while you're committing another crime, like if a burglar kills someone while breaking into a house. This would be 3rd degree murder, unless it can be proven that there was a clear prior intent to kill the boy.

If you read the article, the panel says that she didn't deliberately break the law. Apparently when you only accidentally break the law, it doesn't count. /s

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
