First of all, the majority of english speakers on reddit are american or are familiar with american news, which means that if you want to make a point, it is easier to understand through that lens. 1	Respond truthfully to where I have been? Just say that you visited a friend. Honesty is (imho) the best course of action in most cases anyway, and if she is someone that wants you to not have any female friends, she sounds like someone a least I wouldn't wanna date. Ethics is very personal (in my opinion). So if you feel uncomfortable doing it, dont do it.
