Chicago is an incredible city for dating. It’s the smallest city I’ve lived in but the best from a dating perspective. That being said, think about what your goals are and what you’re willing to spend money on. If you want to save up money to buy a house, travel etc, it’ll be more (but not very) difficult. I'm in Australia (which is a country with fewer civil liberties than the US etc) and I can tell you that the lockdowns do end. For much of this year, most of Australia hasn't been locked down (although they've implemented a lockdown for a few suburbs in Sydney because of an outbreak). It's not something you should worry about.

Hey. I live in Chicago as well and earn a similar amount to you. Really look around before you rent an apartment. It’s very easy to get sucked into a lifestyle that many of my colleagues have, and spend $2500-3000 on an apartment in River North/Gold Coast. Absolutely try therapy. Changed my life for the better and infinitely improved my experience with women. People in this reddit shit on women therapists. But it really depends on the person. I definitely do the pull back and talk about whatever (including sometimes leaving the room to do chores etc - the girls often get up and follow). Any suggestions on being more dominant and acting like it’s not a big deal. There’s a good chance that’s where I’m stumbling

They’re not too intoxicated because I usually take them back home with me. They actually do come to my house and end up staying for an hour or 2 before I kick them out/they leave
