2	I like this community Men make up the overwhelming majority of suicides, homicides, workplace related deaths, and war related deaths. These also don't account for "slow suicide" such as alcoholism and other forms of addiction. I don't really have a problem with "femicide" as a concept, that is "people who were murdered because they were women". 1	What are your essential book recommendations? The Will to Change by bell hooks is quite good. Bell hooks is a feminist who is using models such as patriarchy and intersectionality that can be contentious on this sub, but if you can past semantic bullshit it's actually a quite good introduction to the male emotional experience, with some critique of feminist movements to really show up for men. 7	I like this community Honestly this sub such a breath of fresh air. One of the most traumatizing experiences of growing up as a man is when you realize that people go from embracing you as a boy to fearing you as a man. In a lot of ways, I was lead to believe in my late adolescence and early adulthood that this was because I was somehow fundamentally broken, that I was somehow off putting to others.
