Then you have to go through all the hoops of proving there is abuse: a system which clever abusers can beat. Having to prove the abuse also creates bureaucratic bloat. No fault divorce is by far the best solution.

Considering that art and humans have both existed for about the same amount of time, I think you are overplaying the idea that humans had no time to do anything but survival. For example, I think a large part of the reason why women were disempowered had to do with the fact they naturally take the submissive role in sex. Submissiveness therefore evolves as an attractive trait to males, which means females will convergently evolve submissiveness to greater degree because it facilitates mating. Th…

If women didn't like the idea of basing things primarily on looks, why use an app that basically forces that practice? I don't think people really think about it, or they just don't take tinder very seriously. I think it is certainly part of the origin of modern hypergamy, perhaps. We haven't quite caught up with equality yet. But also, I think those times had rules like that because of deeper instincts that go back to evolution, when the same practices existed out of survival necessity. I can s…

Don't those 80/20 studies pull all their data from dating apps and online dating services? I think the nature of platforms like tinder would be what places looks as a priority. Also I suspect that the origins of women wanting to marry up would be from times back when women were mostly forbidden from having bank accounts, owning property, working lucrative jobs etc., women were incentivized to marry men who were doing well financially in order to avoid living in poverty.

Being gyneocentric means we value women more than men. Which we as a species do. in what ways?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/21 11:35 PM

are you actually going to talk about things that prove we live in a gynocentric society? I've yet to see anything of the sort from you.

you should learn that correlation isn't causation. there's no actual reason that women or "weak men" wouldn't or couldn't build tanks.

What happens is the male relatives of the abused come and beat the abuser badly. retribution != protection. Rates of the occurrence of domestic abuse are still pretty high. > 2. All of civilation is inherently designed to protect women as much as possible from dangers of world. How so? civilization does a pretty bad job of protecting women from domestic abuse. > Within western societies the inherent dangers have mostly been removed yet we continue the idea of male disposability. all of my relationships have began as friendships, or at least good acquaintances as a result of mutual fans. Why would you wanna try to date someone you don't even know? > Never seen someone get rejected because "We're not close enough friends yet" I think this is actually the basis of many rejections, just nobody says it like that. Sorry I should have been more clear, I mean reason in the more philosophical sense, as in a cause that has intention or purpose.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/21 10:01 PM
1

Well that's unfortunate. Consider however, wouldn't it be kinda weird or concerning if someone you were dating had a hard time getting along with women? I would think that a man who had no issues getting along with women (and thus would likely be friends with women) would be preferable because then it would be less likely that he has hangups about women that could become an issue for you.

ll science is based on the fact we want to understand what is happening in the world around us, to understnad what makes everything work the way it does. yes, but there is a difference between cause and effect and the idea of things happening for a reason. Nothing in nature happens for a reason, it's all cause and effect + some random chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/21 09:47 PM

if your science is invoking purpose for natural phenomenon, your science is trash.

Actually he was jailed for going public about details of the case. Prohibiting going public about cases involving minors is very common. He is also held in contempt of court for not referring to his child by their correct name in pronouns because his refusal became a significant disruption to the court proceedings. I feel it's the arrogance of the modern man that led us to believe we can radically reprogram and change our human nature. by what criteria?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/21 04:26 AM
1

The number one rule in any scientific field is that the lack of evidence is not evidence. Just because archeologists can't find evidence for diverging gender roles does not mean they didn't exist. sure, but a lack of evidence means it's improper to make the claim you can't defend, not that the claim is wrong.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/21 11:21 PM

The reason archeologists have long associated hunting as an exclusively masculine role is because the bodies of early peoples that have been found consistently showed injuries and healed damage to their bones in males which has been mostly absent in females. and this was done off of very scant evidence. Now that archaeologists are finding more evidence, the conclusions must change to fit all the available evidence. also how do you know which is the exception? are the hunting women the exception …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/21 11:01 PM
2

Your various assertions are no longer supported by the archaeological evidence available. In pre-civilization humans archaeologists are not finding evidence to support the idea that humans have always had sexually divergent roles. https://advances.sciencemag.org/content/6/45/eabd0310 Therefore we must conclude that gender roles are an aspect of culture, not our inherent nature.

A lot of his stuff rides on his credibility as a psychologist even though his work is quite lacking in scientific and psychological rigor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLi3C1ZYxuU&list=PLIK-x5uT6oS9EnO9-D6ePsWKOxtFhDZdF Here's a 40 part series that addresses every psychological claim he makes in 12 rules for life and if it stands to scrutiny.

Her and my father were both enculturated in American society. There is no way to know if their various attributes were learned cultural behaviors or if they were inherent biological traits. If humans who lived before society exhibited some of the same traits, there could be cause to believe that those traits are inherent and biological, but there is no evidence of gendered traits in that way amongst pre-civ humans.

No, I'd give her some money for the inconvenience, send her on her way and go fuck my gf.

what does that have to do with inherent biological traits of humans?

I'm not, but my biology is identical to a pre-civilization human, so I and other humans should have the same inherent biological traits as pre-civ humans.

> 1 - do you think such a society can survive or will the males revolt? Any hierarchical society will lead to revolts. this has been well-documented for pretty much every type of hierarchy. > 2 - will women will be happier in such arrangements or they're happier now? How happy are men now? Hierarchies don't make people happy. Humans are made happy by having good social connections and having their needs met.

The traits of a good leader are more likely to manifest in males. Based on the OCEAN personnality model, Agreability must be low to be a capable leader, because this trait is what includes the willingness of someone to enter upfront conflict. And in general, well, women suck at that, and you can't be a good leader without that. You must be willing to say the truth to people, even if it is not pleasant. And women, in general are not good at this. How do you know that these are inherent traits and…

what do you mean? I'm talking about the lack of evidence for gender roles being at all related to biology.

I know that people still own things under communism but that’s only because communism in its purest form doesn’t really exist anywhere in the world. But the goal of communism and certainly the goal of a commune is to have shared property as much as possible. That's not true. Private property as defined by Marx doesn't include very many things.

Communism = effectively an attempt at forced equality with the intention of creating a “classless society”. Economy is extremely heavily regulated by the government to the point where it very much infringes on people’s individual freedom. communism isn't when the government does stuff.

> By the late 1960s the first real push-back against "free love" didn't come from conservatives, it came from radical feminist who felt women were being pressured into "sharing the love" with all the unattractive men in the counter culture. got a citation? > Turns out female human nature may not be compatible with communism after all what do you think communism is and what relevance does it have to the sexual revolution?

of gender differences are biological, why is there no evidence of gender roles amongst pre-civilization humans?

I can’t wait until your wife or girlfriend comes home and nags about the trash or laundry not being done. What magical quality does marriage have to cause this to happen? You should already know if you like living with your partner before you get married.

> So, if you have a girlfriend or even a wife, and you found out today that you actually have ample opportunities elsewhere for casual sex (a bunch of consistent FWBs or just random hookups), would you leave your partner in order to pursue that? Would you hesitate at all? What reason would I have to go fuck random people when I can have great sex at home with my gf? > I'd like to ask, is what if, instead, your girlfriend/wife told you that she now wants to be FWBs instead of romantic partners (a…
