props for getting out of RP and being this honest about where youre at. most guys dont have the self awareness to realize the slot machine feeling of cold approach is the addiction talking not actual progress the communication skills point someone made above is underrated. i was in a similar spot where i thought i was decent at talking to people because i had friends but then realized the way i talk to friends and the way you need to talk on a date are completely different skills. like i could h…

he short term vs long term thing is spot on. all the advice about communication and boundaries is useless if you cant get past the first 5 minutes of a conversation without your brain going blank. what nobody talks about is that attraction isnt some mysterious thing you either have or dont. theres actual mechanics to it, conversation flow, reading signals, knowing when to push and when to pull back, and you can practice those separately just like any other skill. the problem is most guys try to …

is there specific material you'd recommend? because i've read a ton of generic dating advice and none of it ever talks about the actual mechanics of what's happening in your body

the story bank idea is smart, never thought about just having stuff ready vs trying to come up with things on the spot every time. and yeah i usually just walk away thinking "well that sucked" without figuring out what exact moment it went wrong. do you write yours down or just replay it in your head? also did you take an actual improv class for that? been wanting to try one but getting there consistently with my schedule is rough, wondering if theres a way to work on that stuff solo

so it's less about practicing flirting as a skill and more about learning to recognize when someone's giving you that opening. thanks man this was helpful

that's a good distinction actually. i hadn't thought about it that way like being good at conv doesn't automatically mean you can flirt. they really are different skills. so for the flirting side specifically, is there literally no way to practice other than just doing it live with real people?

i guess my question is more about how you build that improv ability in the first place. like a jazz musician learns scales before they can freestyle, is there an equivalent for conversation? or is it literally just approach more people until you get comfortable

what kind of drills have you found useful? i've been trying to figure out if there's a way to practice that gets at least some of that pressure without needing another person there like even just doing it over voice or with a time limit might be different than just rehearsing in your head

true, it took us 7 months to control the AI slop thing and we did end up making it controllable with the repeatable guardrails, the thing is we don't even suggest what to do and how to do, but rather it is about giving a space to train without saying this is correct and incorrect but surely would be happy if you can try it out ket me know what you think (search flagd in app store)

that's why I created an app that simulates dating exp at low stake env and gives feedback on your texting style, how you approach a woman, and it even has the drills (where u r given different scenarios and u have to come up with best answer) like perfect opener (try to come with the best first opener), recover silence (learning how to rescue awkward pauses), playful banter (building light teasing and humor skills), story spark (learning how to tell a short, engaging stories), graceful no (pract…

So for me, I felt bad after my every tinder/hinge conv just dies and it feels very hard to attract someone. I think am more of a nerdy guy and I am probably sure that my communication and social skills suck. But I ended up simulating the dating experience where I can master different personality types of girls so that I know how to approach different girls and the more I master different personality types the higher my chances are. I know this is super theoretical and possibly wrong but at least…

yessir I know it is not ideal, nor it is not guaranteed success but as a technical person I came up with a simulation platform to practice talking to girls at lower stakes, which means I can fail fast and learn fast that is my approach so far

I used to think like this too tbh, like everything came down to attraction level and that was it there’s some truth to it, but I think guys take it too far and use it as a way to explain everything yeah if she’s really into you things move faster, that’s obvious. but a lot of times it’s not just looks or “level”, it’s how you show up in the interaction I’ve had situations where I could tell a girl was somewhat interested but I still lost it just by being too in my head or too careful and other t…

yeah I used to have this exact thing if I didn’t care much I was chill, funny, everything flowed. but the moment I actually liked a girl I’d start thinking too much and it all went downhill it’s basically because you start putting more value on the outcome. like now it “matters”, so you try to not mess it up → and that’s what messes it up I realized I wasn’t worse with girls I liked, I was just more in my head with them what helped me was getting more used to those situations so they didn’t feel…

I used to overthink this a lot too, like trying to time the “perfect pull back” so it creates attraction or whatever honestly most of the time it just ends up feeling forced pulling back isn’t really something you do as a tactic, it’s more what naturally happens when you’re not overinvested like if you’re busy, or just not in the mood to text all day, you don’t reply instantly. not because you’re playing a game, but because you have your own life I tried doing the intentional “be scarce now” thi…

I used to be exactly like this, couldn’t flirt at all so I’d just go from normal convo straight to asking her out on paper it sounds fine but yeah it can feel a bit out of nowhere if there’s no build up at all it’s not that you need “flirting skills” though, it’s more just showing a bit of intent before you ask even small things like teasing a bit, holding eye contact a second longer, or just saying something slightly more personal makes it feel more natural instead of a sudden switch I had the …

I used to think it was mostly about what to say tbh, like if I just had better lines or knew how to text “right” it would work but after a while I realized it wasn’t that at all, it was more how I showed up when I was in my head, trying to say the right thing, it always felt a bit off even if the words were fine and when I was more relaxed and not looking for a reaction, things just flowed way easier I think the hard part is most guys don’t get enough actual experience being in those situations,…

I used to be exactly like this tbh — telling myself “she’s not really my type” when in reality I just didn’t want to deal with the pressure of actually approaching. A lot of this is true, especially the overthinking part. You build the whole interaction in your head before it even happens, so it already feels like something you can mess up. For me it wasn’t even about standards, it was just not being used to those situations, so my brain made excuses to avoid them. What helped wasn’t forcing mys…

yeah that’s a brutal loop tbh. once u start overanalyzing, every little thing feels like a signal u messed up, even when it’s just normal dating randomness. and the more u think about it, the more stiff u become in the next interaction… which makes things feel even worse. usually the only way out is just more normal interactions until ur brain recalibrates again. a couple rough weeks can really mess with ur head, but it doesn’t erase the fact that u were doing fine before.

tbh that sounds less like a “seduction problem” and more like a confidence crash after a rough streak. 2 months ago u had multiple women interested, so clearly u’re not some hopeless case. what probably changed is how u see urself now, and that affects how u act. also dating is way more volatile than ppl admit. u can feel like a king one month and the next month everything dries up. happens to a lot of ppl. plus coming out of a long abusive relationship messes with ur head for a while. that stuf…

tbh what u described just sounds like normal dating, not the “numbers game” approach. the numbers mindset is more about maximizing outcomes fast. what u’re describing is more about chemistry, tension, and seeing someone over time. neither is really wrong, they’re just different goals. one is optimized for hookups, the other for connection + attraction building slowly. honestly the slow burn thing is what a lot of ppl actually enjoy, even if it’s less talked about here.
/r/seduction09/03/26 07:07 PM

tbh the problem might be that u see them as an obstacle instead of part of the interaction. friends are basically doing social vetting. if they don’t feel comfortable with u, they’ll pull their friend away even if she liked the convo. a few things that usually help: • acknowledge them early instead of ignoring them • don’t try to isolate the girl too fast • keep it light with the whole group for a bit also if her friends genuinely like u, they’ll often push her toward u, not away.

tbh this happens more often than ppl admit. a good date doesn’t always mean they actually want to continue. sometimes ppl enjoy the moment, the vibe, the flirting… but later decide they’re not that interested, or they met someone else. the weird part of modern dating is that ppl often choose silence instead of a clear “not interested.” also if u already followed up once, u did ur part. after that it’s kinda on them.

tbh this is the right mindset. most ppl think the “win” is getting the number or the date, but the real win is just taking the shot. once u realize rejection doesn’t actually hurt that much, everything gets easier. also funny thing is when u stop caring so much about the outcome, u usually come across way more confident. sounds like ur just getting more reps, which is honestly how most ppl improve socially.

tbh i’d call it ghosting only if u reach out and they just never reply. if the convo slowly fades on both sides, that’s more like a slow fade, not really ghosting. personally if i text and there’s no answer after a few days, i assume they’re not interested. but maybe ghosting can only be about time, or just about ignoring a message
/r/seduction09/03/26 07:03 PM

tbh this happens a lot in clubs. the friend is basically doing “group vetting”. when girls go out together there’s kinda an unspoken rule that they watch out for each other. so when u start talking to one of them, the friend will often pull her aside for a quick check like “u good?” or “who’s that guy?” etc. a few things might help: acknowledge the friend early a lot of guys ignore the friend completely, which makes her suspicious. even just a quick “hey nice to meet u too” or small chat can low…

tbh most guys who get good at this didn’t find some magic trick or line. they just got a lot of reps. talking to ppl, being awkward, misreading signals, trying again, slowly learning what works and what doesn’t. after a while ur brain kinda starts noticing patterns automatically. like u stop overthinking every sentence and just react to the vibe. makes me wonder tho… is “seduction” even a separate skill, or is it mostly just general social experience + confidence from reps?
