4	Why do woman compete in chess separately from men? No, not really. Golf and softball are physical sports whereas chess is not. There's really no reason to have a seperate chess league for women except for the fact that less women compete in it overall, and because there are fewer numbers of women that means there would be much fewer top competitors who are female. Unfortunately in our society today this happens all too often and honestly most of the people doing it probably aren't feminists.
