I have pointed out to some people many female leaders have initiated wars and the usual responses are that they had powerful men behind them that pressured/forced them to do it or that they are playing in a man's game and they had to do it. In other words, "they wouldn't have done it without men." Women have independence until they do something bad, then they suddenly become puppets.

I agree with trying to be a guide. Right now I only know a couple of young people, a boy and a girl, and I want to positively influence them as much as I can. I found stoicism, particularly Marcus Aurelius' teachings, to be helpful in rising above the toxicity of the world around me.

There are multiple problems with the people who say this, mostly refusing to explore and distinguish, which leads to exaggerated disturbing conclusions. To be more accurate, misandrists do have different attitudes and arguments. I believe that most misandrists have a negativity bias and would do exactly what you said. But some women's life experience has seemingly given them a message that bad behavior in men is normal and not exceptional. The same is true for some men's opinion about women. I agree with the original post. It is wrong to only expect men to be altruistic and to absolve women from this responsibility. In my experience, not every woman laughs along and encourages misandrist comments. Depending on the reason, I am sympathetic with people's failures to call it out. I agree that the right does not sufficiently respect the problems of the poor and workers and the left is intentionally destructive on social issues (for example, if there was sexism in traditional society, they will want to completely deconstruct the whole concept of sex and gender). Exactly. I do think people on both sides do it. Mainstream institutions have adopted a culture that does not question any woman's opinion, so female bias on this matter has become a social norm whereas the male bias is considered pathetic and sexist. Both should have been rejected on a societal level.

Some men adapt and some do not. Some women complain and some do not. Generalizations are part of the problem. Regarding your point about complaining, there is a funny contradiction because our culture that explicitly tells women that that they are society's underdogs while implicitly telling them that they can always count on society's support. This will certainly create a sense of entitlement among a lot of women.

I like your counter-arguments. I think that there some issues that disproportionately affect one gender that can be addressed with gender-neutral reforms...except I don't apply this belief only when the disparity goes one way.

I understand your point and I respectfully disagree. Spreading misandrist sentiments will cause more problems for men and people who care (or pretend to care) will be asking for money to help without resolving the cause of the problems. Ignorance and poor critical thinking. Apart from the many men (and women) who don't even think about these issues, a lot of people fell for the idea that because women have much greater problems and are systematically oppressed (a conclusion reached by cherry-picking), we should ignore any mistreatment directed at men.
