Hi, I know this isn't directly relevant to your post but I figured I'd throw it out there - you can PM me if you'd like someone around your age to talk to about this. I took the pill when I was about 16/17 and dealt with a lot of resentment and trust issues with the folks around me for a long time after that and it caused me to reexamine and reevaluate my relationships with people. I've moved past that at this stage, but I think I get where you're coming from and if you want someone to talk to a…

Oh, I never really looked at it that way! Hmm I've got ideas running through my mind now - thank you! :)

Haha good on her for finding something that makes her happy! I probably won't be Miss Perfect Balance, but that's life. 😋 Thank you!

After a certain point, I don't see much of a point in doing things for myself. I take the time to make sure I look nice in the mornings, read to nurture my own brain, and engage in my hobbies because they make me happy. But outside of that I prefer doing things for other people. Cooking for instance. When I cook for myself I make something that's simply good enough, but for anyone else I put in the extra effort to take it beyond "good enough". Doing things for others gives me the desire and driv…

You have a point about focusing on the now because there's no point in focusing on the unknown. Thank you... you've helped more than I can adequately put into words. :)

My passion lies in healthcare - I couldn't imagine doing anything but. The nice thing about my major is that it doesn't necessarily lead to research or academia. How did she land the job?

1) I've got a Skype call scheduled with my best friend tomorrow. She doesn't know I miss her to bits, but I do hahaha. You're right about sharing lives. I'll try to talk to someone back home everyday, even if it's a long tiring day. 2) I just joined the faculty club today and signed up for a handful of volunteer programs. I haven't been to any meetings or events yet since the semester's just begun but I'm hoping to meet other like-minded people there. Fingers crossed! 5) How do you invest in you…

Tomato sauce is wonderful. I love making a massive batch when we buy a huge box of tomatoes from the market and portioning it out in smaller batches to keep in the freezer. Veggies or meat stewed in the sauce makes for lovely comfort (but healthy!) food. :)

Today we're doing a nice butter chicken and a side salad over basmati rice. I've got a fair bit of fish in the freezer that would be suitable for a fry up but I haven't felt like cooking fish lately.

I've been lurking here + the manosphere for about 3 years now. Self-improvement is one of the things I center my life around and it's because of this sub I've been able to do the things I do to become that better person. I want to be the sweet and loving wife my man deserves, the caring mother I never truly had, and the big sister who can be trusted and depended on to the little sister I have. I want to be the kind of person I would look up to. My long-term goal is quite simple... happiness. RPW…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
