Or maybe if she is going through a rough patch with her boyfriend you could then flirt with her to give her a confidence boost

I'm a psychotherapist and my experience might be a product of working with teens for a number of years before I moved back to working with adults. Anyway, I learned to switch off my sexual energy when I am working. So I give more of the wise father or older brother vibe in the therapist's chair. Whilst I get some attention outside work I rarely do in work unless the client has BPD in which case I find it quite common

Yes, but there's no beginning, middle and end until we are dead. Confidence is a key to happiness

Because you are likely still basing your confidence on success or lack thereof with women. You need to be confident in yourself even when others reject you/treat you badly. Hell, I had a woman leave me an unsolicited 7 minute voicemail telling me in detail all the reasons why she wouldn't date me a second time. It didn't shake my confidence because my confidence is not based on her opinion of me. And clearly someone who would do what she did is not a good or kind person

It should be noted that pupil dilation refers to anything we find attractive, likeable etc. A woman's eyes will often dilate at the sight of a baby. An alcoholic's eyes may dilate at the sight of their favourite drink and so on Basically the pupils dilate when we want to see more of something and constrict when we want to see less of something and as you have pointed out there are environmental factors Eg lighting. There are also other factors such as medication, individual physiology and idiosy…

I remember once I was feeling down and in a complaining mood and I met up with a girl I was dating at the time. She is originally from a country in which there are considerable social and economic challenges compared to mine and she said to me "You are rich [compared to most people in her homeland], you have a job, you are handsome [she thought so] and you are not disabled so I don't understand why you are not happy all of the time......." I've never forgotten this

Some people really just see a 'relationship' as a kind of 'ownership', a 'possession' and maybe even get a kick out of the fact that their girlfriend would be afraid to be unfaithful. Of course that's not really 'relationship' in the true sense of the word. Relationship is a true sharing, with give, take, mutual respect and affection. As others have pointed out sometimes the girl gets a kick out this too. It can mean keeping that dopamine rush going that is usually characteristic of the very ear…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
