The hospital/nursing home where my mom works owns a set of apartments just so they can house the temporary nurses they constantly fly in from out of state because they can't get enough in-state.

Should it not be obvious that an employer is supposed to look for the best qualified candidates for consideration? No it isn't obvious, since the topic is in regards to diversity, where the most qualified candidate is not always the one chosen. Take US universities for example. Thanks to affirmative action's diversity quotas, there are many above-average Asian students who are denied entrance to universities because of their race, even though they would be accepted, had they been white or black.

And yes, you do have to zone out in solitude for prolonged periods of time in lots of technical (and other skilled) jobs. That's not a stereotype, it's a reality. That's not saying that you'll be a friendless shut-in, just that some jobs are better for people with different ways of thinking. That just says that it's a job for introverts. There's no indication that women are more likely than men to be extroverted.

She's supposed to insult them to try and break their spirit, but this guy was totally unfazed, and he tossed an insult back at her, which got her so mad she broke the rules and slapped him. He slapped her back, and then the camera crew ran up and beat the shit out of him, sending him to the hospital. Thankfully, he won out in the end with a lawsuit. This was also the last episode of the TV show.
