Nope. Not fine with it. I look at it like this- and I've told others this, too- if you don't want to get hit, keep your hands to yourself. That situation did not call for her reaction at all. Even if she felt like she was justified in being upset, she should have kept her hands to herself. What she did was, technically, assault. If I'd been in that situation, I would have turned to her, and asked her what the fuck her problem was, and then informed her if she did it again, I'd return the favor.

We do. At least, individually. We just have to stand up for it, and be willing to deal with any fallout from it. Any woman who tried to tell me what I couldn't do-- as opposed to offering a suggestion on her opinion on whether or not I should make the choice to do it for myself-- would likely be ignored, or kicked to the curb. In my opinion, other men need to start doing the same-- the person in your life is supposed to provide positives to your life. If they are not, then you should remove them…

I won't get into the semantics. I will agree with you- it happens entirely too often for us to have a panic over it, these days.

> They’re going to end up getting an innocent black man shot, acting like that. You say that like they actually give a damn if that happens. The very fact that they behave like they do, is a demonstration that the only person they care about is themselves, and their alleged victimhood; they want the attention of having 'survived' such an awful encounter, and they don't especially care what happens to the 'side characters', or even the supposed 'victim'....

We're not jaded to it. In some cases, we're *resigned* to it- meaning, we *know* the cops will come, and see our skin color and our gender, and automatically label us as a perpetrator and/or a criminal, and that there's almost nothing to prevent that from happening. We're not immune to the feeling of being in mortal danger- we just know that there's very little we can do to avoid it.

From my (very much MALE) perspective, if I were to ask for a paternity test, it would be to ENSURE that the child was mine and that I could go forward with putting my heart, my soul and my finances in support of the child. If the woman I was with, couldn't understand that I was asking for that for MY assurances, and not because I doubted her-- that is, if she only looked at it as a condemnation of HER *(making the situation about HER)*, and not about a need for ME to have some sort of reassuranc…

Because it’s not politically correct to “pick on [women]”- because of the subtle mindset that, as emotional creatures, women will be upset and their feelings will be hurt because of statements being made like that, and that men who would make such statements must really hate women— but, it’s okay for women to say such things, because men are NOT emotional creatures, men feel little and so it doesn’t matter because men’s feelings won’t be hurt (and, of course, because to some women, men’s feeling…

Because current rape/SA laws and social beliefs state that men can’t be raped by women. So, [man=drunk]+[woman=sober] is either [male=not raped] OR [female=raped], depending on who is trying to say that they are the victim.

@ChequerMate: How’s it not rape the other way around? Because— likely— according to women, he consented to the possibility of the pregnancy by having sex with her. They would likely say that “well, if he didn’t take steps to make sure that HE was protected against her getting pregnant, then he consented to it, and that’s that.” Never mind that it wouldn’t work the other way around— the presumption that SHE should be making sure that she’s protected, otherwise she consented to him MAKING her preg…

Honestly? No- I mean, I think the defendant is innocent, but the results of this ‘trial’ don’t mark him as “innocent”- they just say, “well, we’re not going to prosecute any further, due to [reasons]”- and in this case, those “reasons” don’t say “well, the evidence says he’s innocent” or “the evidence doesn’t add up” or anything of the sort. So the general public, those who might have automatically already thought that he was guilty— especially because he’s a man and “man=rapist”— would likely c…

Actually, this is VERY true in the U.S. A man CAN be held accountable— and deemed the Father of a child— based on the words of the child’s mother.. If the accused Father does not contest this in Court in time, and/or does not have an DNA test submitted to the Court in time, the Court WILL deem him the Father, and hold him responsible, even if afterwards he DOES submit a DNA test, or attempt to contest his assumption of Fatherhood. The Courts say that such is done “in the best interests of the ch…

One CAN have compassion and empathy for people who are suffering. BUT. Most of those who would be called ‘incel’, who are also vocal and fanatical about it, are NOT suffering in the way that should inspire compassion and empathy for them. Those who are incels of this type have usually come to the point of expressing hatred towards women, and often have a mindset that is dehumanizing towards women, and even towards men who they feel are more socially successful than they are. Those who are incels…

@Equal-End7695: You dodged a bullet. I can understand that it hurts, especially because you cared about her, but I think you should also count yourself lucky that you’re no longer in a relationship with this woman. Whether you agree with feminism in any of its forms or not, she sounds as though she is— or was becoming— a toxic person, and not someone you need in your life.

@therandomdude750: Please do break up with your girlfriend. Make sure that you do it gently, but do it in public, where your interaction with her can be seen. Do make sure that you speak with civility and clearly, that you state WHY you’re breaking up with her (so that any others listening might hear your reasons/fears about the situation), and then do not communicate with her again without a witness around. Additionally, if you can, before you break up with her, find a way to record your intera…

I believe I hear what you’re saying, but your ideology is a “best case scenario” type of worldview, where young boys and girls are allowed to BE young boys and girls, and the world can be held off until they’re mentally able to handle the ruthlessness and apathy that we adults have to endure. But the truth of the world, of our society, is that that mindset is an unfortunate fallacy. Yes, this young man needs to be made aware- and equally yes, that it is unfortunate that he HAS to be made aware- …
