Women are seen as prizes to be won, not autonomous human beings. You don't have to win over a man because he's not an object you obtain. Thankfully for all genders, this attitude is changing. Men and women both deserve to feel special and cared for as full human beings.

What qualities did you like about him? If this negativity is affecting you, have you tried setting boundaries? Hope you're getting some helpful advice here. Be kind to yourself. ❤

That is wonderful you found true love! It can be discouraging to see so many humans fighting to get only their needs met, I think its really special when you find someone who values you for who you are and that connection with you.

He might not be emotionally fluent enough to express other things he likes about you. Men don't socially get the training women do to express themselves. Something that might help facilitate this is asking specific examples of times you made him feel loved and valued. I would also be concerned if my boyfriend said something like this depending on his age - but this seems like a normalish comment for someone in their 20s.

All feelings are impermanent. In 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, 50 years... none of this will matter. You don't need to judge your feelings. It's just a silly little quirk of being human. Instead of hating your feeling, invite it in for a drink and try not to be so harsh to it. :)

If you have trauma, you a good therapist can help you work on your relational abuse to have successful relationships. That doesn't mean you can't use ideologies you like, but I really wish I would have gotten therapy as young as 20 and learned all the relationship tools I have now! :) I would say when it comes to men, make sure you have high standards of dignity with how you're treated as a person. And treat that man with your same high standards. If you have gendered-trauma, only keep the compa…

Be aware of what he wants out of life too. We have to nurture each other as people. When we love someone, we want the best for them, even if that doesn't coincide with our plan. I know as women sometimes we can kind of force men to "fall into line" when our values don't coincide. (it's a human flaw) You sound like you're coming from a place of patience and love, and that is a good thing. He sounds like he possibly doesn't know what he wants out of life, and getting him to think about that is a g…

When we have low self esteem it's easy for us to put our wants and needs on the backburner. Getting to a therapist will help you achieve a healthy baseline for treatment that you didn't get.

Dump him. Also get therapy for your abuse because you deserve to heal. You're likely tolerating being treated this way from your background of abuse. (fellow victim here, I've been in the same boat. Don't waste another minute without a good therapist. I t may take you multiple tries to find someone you like)

Tantric sex is a misnomer. Tantra is a spiritual practice, not just sex moves.

Absolutely. We all highly underestimate our power. It takes wisdom and experience to realize the scope of our power and how important it is to use that power for kindness. If we realized our power we wouldn't make half the negative comments we do. : )

A lot depends on the hormonal profile and medication. I'd say, like men, prolly start out daily when you're younger - then with all the weird sex shaming in our society and responsibilities it drops off.

Remember that most people don't really have the verbiage to specify what they want. It's not about an exact weight but a fit/healthy body, maintaining health/appearance - and letting a partner know you are serious about putting effort in for them. Example: If you wanted a partner to have a certain level of income, but they didn't, but they were busting ass every day to improve that for you - wouldn't that still be pretty attractive? I'm not a man, but I think we can safely say its a very attract…

I love the honesty in this answer. In an immediate satisfaction culture we often forget pain and struggles can reward us. Instant gratification 24-7 doesn't usually provide a fulfilling life.

No one here can diagnose her. But that doesn't matter, deal with her genuinely. She physically assaulted you and that's not okay. Definitely get therapy for the trauma surrounding these issues, you deserve to feel safe. There's a difference between being victimized by violence and claiming a victim identity.

Be sure to invest and put your time and energy into more areas than your appearance. I know that seems a bit obvious, but society can be very superficial. Looks and health are wonderful to maintain, but so is your intelligence, kindness, generosity, charisma. Attraction and love are about much more than just appearance.

It's hard for someone to be their best when the other person is silently judging them. I'm not trying to attack you here - but really get into his head and think how he feels as well. It is easy for any human to slip into expectant and entitled. Try to drop unnecessary expectations if you can, because they just set you up to be disappointed. What do you respect and love about him? What are the qualities that make you stay with him that you prefer over every other man? Remember first what you res…

Let me start out with the obvious: Most men are going to prefer a woman in shape. Most humans prefer their partners in shape. It reflects outwardly reproductive fitness. From what I know, behaviorally, men love a woman who will hit the gym with them. As for looking "masculine," it really depends on how you're built and how fast you gain muscle. For example, I gain muscle really fast and I have broad shoulders, I can easily look "more masculine," if I focus on upper body. However if I focus on my…

A big problem here, you admit you have no direction. The last thing you need to be thinking about is a man when you don't have direction/plans for your own life. I would get into therapy and really hone your values and get a life plan in action. You can't be a good wife/partner if you don't know who you are.

Don't contact him. Respect his decision, respect his boundaries. You do NOT want to be with a man who will do easily leave like this. You will deeply regret it. Give him space to really think about his decision. I know that's not what you want to hear, but if you really *do* want a chance with him, the more space and less you contact him, the more of a possibility it will happen. <3 hang in there.

Looks like commitment from men biologically depends in part, how many partners are available: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/01/150113204129.htm Men want commitment if there are less partners available, less so if there are a plethora of them.

I def think it's inevitable that whatever mate you're looking to get, you are going to have to be on par with them equally in terms of social status. (unless there are other things you're connecting over) Age is probably much more correlated with social status for women, whereas for men it's money/stability.

These all sound like ego wounds. I recommend the book "The Power of Now." How your Mom acts is a reflection of her, not a reflection of you. : ) I would also get into therapy and practice boundary setting if that's a resource available to you. Learning how to set healthy boundaries is a powerful and fruitful tool in any relationship, including an upcoming marriage. "do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. It's what we value. We value the ego boost of superficial beauty vs giving to our partners, character and dignity.

How do men make better decisions biologically? I think men are socialized to be more confident, whereas women are socialized to second guess themselves and defer to men. I've never heard biological evidence that men make better decisions. That's such a broad generalization, how would you even test for that?

If someone is right, then the other person has to be wrong. I would ask him if he could lean into your perspective more. And tell him that you admire how intelligent and articulate he is, but you would also like to feel validated and heard. It's normal biologically for men to be more status seeking and try to be "right" because testosterone amplifies status seeking behavior. Make it known you love his intelligence but would also like to connect with him and be heard. You want him to use his stre…

Attraction is MUCH more than looks, I say this even as someone who has been a stripper. If you are worried your partner is finding other people attractive, you are unaware of your own power. You are unaware how much emotionally, psychologically, physically you can affect someone. I would really start to try to embrace your power and see what a positive affect you have on those around you. <3

Look into/research generic Latisse. bitmaprost/careprost. alldaychemist (dot) com is where you can buy it. I use it for my lashes, super promising for male hair growth and very few people know about this treatment, nor how effective it is. Also try dermarolling. also, like the ppl here said, shaved hair looks great. Wigs also look awesome on a lot of dudes and allow you to change up your look. Black beauty stores are great places to try on wigs - that's what a lot of male Hollywood stars wear

I think people are missing the nuance of this. It isn't just funny for the sake of being funny, but it's also subtly accusing her of being the one to make things sexual. You make her think boning you was and is completely her idea. I've had iterations of this used on me and I think it's probably one of the best techniques. Roughly translated "You're not expecting me to bone you, right? This isn't just code for sex?" (Or it's light flirtation/making him sweat for fun) "You're the one thinking abo…

She is going to try whatever she can to trap you into a monogamous relationship. Sounds like she's playing you for a relationship and you just want sex. You're deluding yourself by thinking you're so great she will hold onto this bargain that completely favors you. She's manipulating you and your own grandiosity(that she's feeding into) is preventing you from seeing it. The fact she's upping her game to "catch" you vs doing this in the first place is a red flag. Once she "catches" you she's goin…

I'm a 30 year old stripper and my N count is probably fairly low compared to most people my age. (I have only slept with one man before my current bf now) If you're seeking someone with a low number count, I highly recommend someone that values monogamy and is introverted. I find it's probably introversion that occurs most strongly with low number counts vs all otbwe factors. Also seek someone who doesn't really need outsider approval

What I do is I basically always ignore what someone says about me, and throw it back to them. Don't get defensive. That's the worst thing you can do. So if someone says "wow, you have a big nose!" "Is that what you tell everyone to explain how bad you smell?" I always make it lighthearted. In order to practice thinking on your feet, you can do word association excerises. I make it lighthearted because you never want any one think they're smart enough to get to you. It pisses people off more than…

I will tell you as a stripper/woman that most women are pretty full of themselves. Guys are constantly telling even ugly women they are beautiful, so I think even a girl who is a 2 thinks she "deserves" a 10. Now with social media, a girl can be a 1 and be cocky af. All good advice. If you're in a group picture, DONT have guys hotter in you in the picture. We'll be disappointed. If you're the hottest one that wins major points. Also, be vain and find your angle. All women know their angle. If you don't know what your "angle" is, up your selfie game until you find it. And no sunglasses in a car picture.

Because guys compliment us all the time and it's lame as fuck. Girls don't like to be worshipped, it's submissive behavior. Teasing is playful but there's a sexy dominance factor to it. Like you're confident enough to take us. Also there is a certain level of intelligence and wit to teasing that's on display.

Stripping is not hard like she says, it's the easiest work you will ever do. Get free alcohol from men, then shake your titties around for 2 minutes for 20-40 dollars. Honestly, there is nothing easier than stripping and there is nowhere near a male equivalent for this industry.

Women usually give terrible advice because they don't realize what fuels their attraction. Men are fairly simple in that they like beautiful, nice women that can hold a conversation. Women want you to spike their emotions and keep them engaged- they want to be enthralled and entertained. I know a guy who gets a lot of pussy, but once he actually really likes someone he treats them nice, gives them plenty of attention, and does sweet gestures. After that he's usually fucked.

I will take that as a compliment. The reason I peruse TheRedPill is because they give good advice. There was a girl with borderline personality disorder harassing my family, and this place has shown me links and great insight to women like this. I'm also hoping for nieces and nephews, and I've found some of the advice very useful to give my brother. Like how well ignoring women works.
