This is probably the simplest but most important comment. Really sticking with me haha. Everything I hear or read, kids or no kids can often make the world of difference in the case...?

Thank you for the response. I plan on making calls to various attorneys this next week. Again, just even to get more info and have a plan... Could really help me and make a big difference. How likely is a possibility of a no contest, low financial filled court case, where I don't have to split up all my assets? Again, questions for lawyer too, but want to see from guys with experience on the sub.

Hmm interesting. Thanks for the response. So if, say, my net worth was a made up number of 900k before the wedding and now it's 1 million, then I'd only have to split 100k? Or is it not that simple? Another thought I saw somewhere else was, "the spouse is entitled to half your wealth, BUT also half your debt".

Thank you for the response. And no worries, I appreciate the other type of reply too, getting more info for the situation. I could give you a really long answer to your questions, but the simple answer is she's always a bitch to me. Complete disrespect all the time. Yeah, yeah, all women can be bitchy sometimes, especially their time of the month, right. No, I mean, I can't remember the last time she was what I'd consider genuinely kind, considerate, respectful to me for a whole day. We fight al…

Thanks for the response. I have no experience in this, obviously, but plan to make a few free consultation calls/visits with lawyers in area soon, even if just to get more info right now. W/o knowing more from an attorney, do you, or anyone else here in this thread, have any idea if it's possible to convince her/court to do like a no contest with much less financials involved and not having to literally split all my assets? It'll wreck the business. I don't have a lot of cash, but a lot of asset…

I know... I got red pilled like a year too late. I've been eyes opened for the last two yrs during this shitty marriage. And I refuse to blame anybody but myself. It is my fault for vetting very, very poorly. Like I said in OP post, the only two things that have kept me from doing this awhile ago are 1. The primary reasoning of worry about huge financial loss and wrecking a business. Like I said, I'm not super cashy; but I have a lot of asset value. And 2. I'm an active Catholic.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
