I don’t know if I’ll marry again, it certainly isn’t a goal of mine. Being as I have a son, there is no regret I have suffered in, what was an awful, divorce, including the loss of my relationship with him as his mother poisoned him against me over the years. Yeah, his existence is important enough to endure it. I tell you this, though, I wouldn’t be a “nice guy” about the divorce. I would have a lawyer on retainer within the first month, and I would hold her to fire 🔥, keeping her local, as we …

Must be nice. Unfortunately, I have a son, who I’ve been alienated from, and the only way to speak to him is through her. For now. Four more years. Then I shall know the joy you speak of…

Whenever I think about dating again I read questions + comments like this and am glad I chose the path of the unicorn since my divorce. Women can be beautiful and nice, until they aren’t. One divorce is enough for me to say “Never again.”

I don’t mind living alone, but living on one income has been the stuff of nightmares.

No. Being single gets easier with time. Getting back out there gets harder the longer you go without.

Yeah. It’s been two years since my last date. Been divorced seven. The more time goes by the less motivated I get to make any effort.

And “…go to the fucking gym!” Thanks, boss. The only part of this I’ll own, I’m without an excuse for my part. Also, “quit drugs and take your life back.” Why? Meth I can understand, but not all compounds are created equal. If I want to get away every half year or so to trip balls, then I’m going to do it. In our culture, “sobriety” or “recovery” seems like a badge people wear to grant them the moral high ground, and anyone who uses substances is automatically in a class lower than they see them…

Yes. That would be a better route to pursue. From a legality and health stand point. Gotta’ get a primary care doctor first. Have insurance. Just hard to find a doctor within network that isn’t scheduled up for two months out before I am seen. I def. need to, as my sciatica flair ups are excruciating.

Thanks, likewise, hope your outcome is one that is favorable. We’ve all got our own 💩 to account for, and work cut out for us. No hate towards anyone no matter where you’re at in this process. Being a human being is difficult. I suppose if it were too easy we would lose the potential to see the value of thriving over fading. While one is inevitable, it is up to us to find something worth living for.

No shit it’s about choices, it’s also about bad circumstances and lack of options. Oh, and bull shit advice. Yet, a combination of all of those things. Also, with alcohol I tried to self-medicate, didn’t work. Got DUI’s l, felt like shit, couldn’t perform well at work. With meth, it was like I found the perfect molecule to make me “normal.” It doesn’t get me super messed up. It’s a functionality enhancer. This is when I knew I had ADHD my entire life which went undiagnosed. Stuff would obliterat…

I feel you, buddy. It’s not easy. You aren’t the only one suffering. I forget that at times, myself. Feel like an unapproachable island that no one can relate to, I’ve been there. My mother died back in 2012. I left my 9 year career in Social Work, to go after a job where I could make money. Ended up working for Tesla. Lasted all of two years, surviving a couple of company cut backs, until I didn’t. It was upsetting, so I gave a big middle finger to capitalism and decided to live on unemployment…

Let’s see, 2016. Fresh off of my divorce. She was nuts. Not a good experience. I generally try to avoid sex now. It’s been going on 7 years not once. I’m not ashamed to say it. Personal choice.
