2	Help me understand rhetoric surrounding men emotionally "opening up" It's like the relationship between Frodo and Samwise. There is a deep abiding love and kinship between the two. Tolkien was reflecting his own life and experiences, and to some extent also the deep bonds he forged between comrades in arms.
