Your rhetorical question asking people to agree with you? I come to Reddit to GET answers, Sis.

I mean, Bridget Jones' boss fooling around with her was understandable: She was there, she was vulnerable, she had to show up to work around him every day. But why would he go on a dating app in 2023 full of 8s ready to fling themselves at him for the price of a drink and say, "Hm, I think I'll go for a 5 tonight"? Some kind of fetish? You would think the average girls would be safe from Chad's predations. He only has so much time in the day himself.

There was this stupid fad book/movie about this chubby, insecure career girl named Bridget Jones who kept giving it to her hot boss because she was delusional enough to think he would marry her. Yes, an entire IP was generated by this stupidity, what a world. Agree.

As I've said elsewhere, the problem with "the yoof" of both genders is that they either overestimate their own attractiveness, or they think they're so hot on the inside that they deserve someone who goes to the gym while they eat on the couch. All these bitter 4s should be making sweet, sweet love to each other, but gosh darn it, one of these days Chad/Stacey is going to see my TikTok and fall in love!

I'd rather get dumped after one fck than find out years later that he's a quiet psycho, and if I had known his friends/background/history I wouldn't have stupidly wasted a chunk of my life. That's MY experience on dating apps. Better shallow than sneaky. That's a non sequitur though, sorry.

Sounds like the guys who are spamming are ruining it for the other guys. Sending ALL the girls you see a swipe and a "hey wanna bang" might work out for you as an individual guy, like "I have so few chances, I have to take EVERY SINGLE ONE!"--but it's a terrible strategy for guys as a group. As stated elsewhere, there are only so many hours in a day, and women get too overwhelmed to thoroughly investigate their choices. That being said, if YOU only have so much time per girl to skim her profile …

What I don't understand is why, if these Chads are drowning in pssi, why do they ever bang the Bridget Jones Diary girls at all? If they want a ONS they can have a low-grade aging Stacey or something, right? I don't get it. The problem on both sides is that everybody now thinks they're so hot on the inside, they should be able to have somebody who's hotter than they are on the outside. (Or their idea of their own physical attractiveness has been warped by the people who are all forced to click "…

Actually most men I know say we look better without it. I still wear it though, because I don't want every stranger on the street to be able to look directly at me. Too intrusive.

Nobody is saying makeup ISN'T fake. They're arguing against the implied moral argument: That there is something uniquely BAD about this type of fakery, and that men do not engage in trying to "cheat" in order to make their genes appear to produce better bon structure than they do. Whether a beard grows naturally out of one's face is not the issue; the issue is trimming the facial hair in order to disguise the underlying bone structure. Most men can grow a beard; fewer men have the actual jawline…

Upper-class women took the ONE TIME IN HISTORY that working-class women were ALMOST in a position to get to stay home and sit on our asses parenting and making a cozy den for our husbands just like they did, and they had to FUCK IT UP because they wanted to be CEO of Widgetworld or whatever stupid shit they envied their husbands over.

I have a reeeeeallllllly hard time feeling sorry for people with NPD. And it's the mental disorder whose "sufferers" are least likely to seek help, because they're having a grand old time.
