Poor impulse control and emotional immaturity/instability predispose to premature selection of a mate before seeing the person truly tested. With enough time and honest inspection, red flags accumulate.

Wrong, anime pilled male. There are only two people responsible for entering or exiting a relationship.

Ultimately, emotionally weaker people are the ones who enter marriages that fail. Emotionally savvier folks don’t marry unless they know it will work out.

Men who use the phrase “hit the wall” have not yet (and may never) hit the maturity milestone to inspire attraction.

The lack of empathy displayed by men here is repellent. It’s incredible they won’t take us at face value when we tell them that. But ultimately, it’s a useful signal to us to avoid them.

It’s more accurate to say I despise the minds of men who believe this to be true. It’s so frustrating when certain men dismiss the truths you communicate as lies. It’s no wonder we stay away from them.

I’ve never once heard that term before. Why would you encourage any person to feel ashamed of something out of their control? It’s bizarre.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/24 11:37 PM

Yes, stronger community among women helps with this a lot — it takes the focus off of what isn’t there (an husband) and puts it onto positive, meaningful relationships that contribute to their greater community. Instead of getting stuck in “What am I lacking?” it encourages “What can I give?”

Why do you ask questions that will not meaningfully enhance your understanding of the world or your emotional experience while in it? Whatever you glean from these replies will not benefit you in any way. It’s like spinning one’s wheels in the mud.

Not “appreciating” parenthood does not mean disrespect.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 09:24 PM

Everyone deserves the same level of respect. Parents deserve no additional respect for unnecessarily creating life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 09:18 PM

The human population will peak in the 2080s. There will be plenty of people I can employ to do that when I’m 80+. Even if not, everyone will die eventually and there’s nothing inherently bad about dying sooner rather than later. Medicine often prolongs suffering and years of low-quality life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 09:16 PM

People would likely become more self-sufficient in the future. Life will adapt.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 09:00 PM

There is nothing wrong with the human population gradually growing smaller over time. Eventually going extinct out of compassion for others would be a finer fate than blowing ourselves up, which we are more likely to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 09:00 PM

As a woman, I don’t particularly appreciate motherhood since it’s unnecessary to create lives that need to be cared for. There are plenty that already exist and deserve care and love. I am especially appreciate of people who dedicate their lives to caring for people they didn’t create.

“Deceitful”… “refined”… “morally superior” <— there are some cognitive distortions at play here. Saying that I’m attracted to less than 1% of the population is about as straightforward as I can get.

Choosing to see the world that way is unattractive (hence, another factor).
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/24 12:36 PM

Attraction is multifactorial, based on physical appearance, emotional awareness, intelligence, kindness, confidence, and several other factors. I don’t feel attracted to 99% of the men I encounter (including all “stereotypical hot jerks” and those “nice guys” who are unfulfilled living life single), but I don’t feel shallow because of it. Who would be shallow enough to want to be in a relationship with someone who isn’t attracted to them?

I’m glad you and your children are safe now. No adult or child deserves abuse in their lives. My question was mainly rhetorical to make the point that initially, right when the abuse begins with something small, women subconsciously know there’s something wrong with the man but excuse, justify or ignore the behavior until it gets worse (sometimes due to feeling trapped by factors you’ve mentioned). I wish we were all taught in school to have literally zero tolerance for abusive people. Even one …

Attractiveness and penchant for violence are not correlated. With time, it’s easy to tell who’s a kind, non-violent person and who isn’t. Why would we compromise on either measure?

They also think all other women will feel threatened by hearing them express their desire for 18-year olds and 18-year olds alone. In fact: it’s gross and causes us to feel immensely grateful that these men avoid us. We prefer spending our time with high-quality people or alone.

It always baffles me: why the fixation on “women” instead of “people”? The same could be said about younger men with full heads of hair being “better” (do you actually mean “more physically attractive”?) than older men who are losing it. Men who accept the hand they’ve been dealt by shaving their head are more attractive than those who cling to what’s left. There is nothing wrong for a person feeling the “ick” toward their partner for any reason and choosing to leave them because of it. If “ick” outweighs love, then it’s a shoddy foundation for a relationship.

In targeting your dating app exclusion toward women only, it sounds like you believe the brains of young men develop before 25 — why is that? As other feedback for you, the tone of your post would be tolerable to <5% of women. I’m sorry you’ve had trouble finding and keeping a relationship, but that won’t change unless you do some soul-searching and focus on what you have in common with women, not why you hate them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 02:10 AM

Why did Jesus love instead?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 09:53 PM

Christianity (like all mainstream religions) is often illogical. Hatred is similarly illogical when you could be filling your thoughts with love instead, as Jesus did. Why not wish the best for others? It'll make you feel better, too.

As a taxpayer I’d honestly rather not be paying more than current levels for the raising of young children, since more young children aren’t needed here — young adults are all we really need. Parents/s can continue to shoulder the costs of their decision to have kids. I agree with OP that ideally, a man would be able to document via legal contact that he does not wish to have a child with whatever particular woman he’s seeing (she would sign too), so that any woman who unethically gives birth to…

Divorced men or women with kids is certainty a crappy category, but why would the others be viewed as crappy? Personally, I view any man interested in reproducing to be a crappy option, but obviously that’s just personal preference and many other women would be happy with them. Any 60-year old man who chooses to father children is a selfish person by virtue of guaranteeing that any grandchildren he might have someday will never meet (or remember) their grandfather. For parenthood, mid-40s is old…

Women tend to be happy enough with their own lives and don't think about this too much. The most productive dating advice I could give men is to learn to love yourself, your life, and your community so that you will be happy even if you never end up partnering. From this perspective, everyone “misses out” on one “fundamental” life experience or another. There is tremendous joy and meaning in dedicating one’s time to get to know and care for people in one’s community, from all different backgrounds — one of the greatest miracles of life on our diverse planet, the realization that through our differences we are all one. The flaw in behaving in such a calculated way is that you might be able to sustain that for a few days, a few weeks, or a few months, but eventually you’ll grow fatigued of it and start acting more like yourself. If you’ve been putting on an act inconsistent with your true identity the whole time, there’s a much higher chance of the relationship imploding. “Being yourself” is really the best thing that can be done early on, for both parties’ sakes.

A few practical reasons come to mind: Legal benefits: tax, health insurance, surrogate decision making benefits in case of health crisis, etc. Social benefits: referring to your partner with one word that indicates you’re committed for life; optionally celebrating your union with family/friends, etc.

I agree. A high count is a big turn-off for me given that I’m looking to find a partner for life. I’m not interested in someone seeking to pass the time with sex who finds difficulty opening themselves to a committed, loving relationship.

I really appreciate the effort behind this post. The point that I find myself reflecting on is how a lower number of lifetime sexual partners corresponds to a lower rate of divorce or infidelity. I could never quite put my finger on why I find men with a high number of previous sexual partners less attractive, but I'm realizing now it's concern over them not having been able to find lasting happiness and contentment in such a large number of prior relationships. I don't enter a relationship unle…

I look down on almost anyone who’s in a large age gap relationship that leads to having kids. I wish people would keep their unhealthy/toxic relationship dynamics to themselves instead of creating a new generation who has to grow up with it.

The age cut-off for sperm donors is typically set at 35, at most 40. Very rare to see clinics collecting sperm aged 45-50 since buyers don’t want that.

The DENNIS system should come with the caveat that any man genuinely seeking to implement it is profoundly emotionally unhealthy. He’d be better off committing to something non-relationship-related that shakes up his way of thinking, else risk spending his life not alone in his life dissatisfaction but coupled with someone equally miserable.

No one knows 100% of someone else's background, but everyone is capable of getting to know another individual decently well over a period of weeks to the point of being able to answer the question: "is this person likely to make a good parent?" If the answer is no or maybe, the man shouldn't stick his dick in or the consequences are his fault as much as mom's.

A man who decides to reproduce with a woman incapable of raising their child in a healthy way is equally responsible for the outcome. I have tremendous disdain for any parent of a person with a traumatic upbringing or a criminal. It's both parents' fault.

Always very strange to make these sorts of non-overlapping generalizations about men and women. Plenty of women couldn’t care less about jewelry, myself included. Plenty of women also date so frequently that they’re clearly not hung up on the rarity of it — they’re more interested in the enjoyment of just having someone an intimate someone around, too.

Why write "man" instead of "person"? Women arguably do even better than men without marriage on average, which that 80% statistic would substantiate -- women leave because they can envision doing better on their own. Yet marriage is definitely not "just a piece of paper" when it comes to benefits related to finances, health insurance and the like, so there's clearly more than "zero" reasons for a person to marry.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/22 09:47 AM

I don’t see the problem with this, and maybe that’s the answer in itself — that women place a lower value on early relationships compared to men, thus the burden falls disproportionately on men to seek out these early connections that they value comparatively more highly

I *don't* care -- I merely regard it as helpful information that we aren't a match due to his prioritization of sexual history over other traits I value as more important in a relationship, and move on. Similarly, if I hear a guy has been with 20+ women, I personally feel less attracted since it often reflects how he values sex over committing to a long-term relationship. However, I doubt the guy would mind if I explained that to him. He'd just accept we are different, and move on.

"Most" is far more accurate than "every." Rather than generalizing about all women, it could be helpful to recognize you're limited to an anecdotal pool of contacts like I am. My anecdotal experience negates your false generalization that "everyone fucks people that don't meet that ideal." There are also plenty of women out there who would disagree with the statement that "the majority of men [are] fuckable."

Using words like "everyone" or "never" is usually a pretty good indication that a take is an extreme one, or that you're only encountering a particularly uniform slice of humanity for some reason or another (the book Factfulness does a great job of explaining our common unconscious biases). For a lot of women reading this who are single, we haven’t found someone compatible with us as a long-term partner. Threatening to block you doesn’t sound like a healthy response at all. I’m curious if he makes you feel bad about “little things” regularly or if this is a new occurrence. If you frequently feel upset over misunderstandings between you, I’d consider ending the relationship before meeting up since these behaviors would only get worse once you meet in person, and you deserve someone who is genuinely invested in your happiness and truly committed to your relationship.
