suppose I was lazy with that comment because I thought it was self-evident, but okay. Your observations are true but I doubt you would entirely discount sources that ask patients to get a measure of their wellbeing, because how else would you figure out how they are? So I assume you are referring to studies whose methods are similar to this one from Plos One in that they have people other than the patient doing observations and administrating tests rather than calling for self reports at the pat…

could I pass the burden of proof over to you, nevermind Also I don't think money is being funneled through when there is a five year waiting time for an appointment in Britain, with the NHS Waiting Lists Force Trans People To Leave The UK. However you're talking about the drugs and such in general. For example, with the common anti-androgen spironolactone, the most expensive entry listed here would cost the equivalent of 1 dollar and 30 cents a day, with the cheaper sources being half a dollar. …

This is an odd response and a dichotomy. No one will force "genital mutilation" if you don't confine to your gender stereotypical roles. It is not exceptional if a 'tomboy' doesn't get medical intervention because they didn't need it, lots of people don't and that is fine, they are happy, and if they did start the process the first step would be reversible. It is not relevant if you don't perceive these things as a "natural way" to treat gender dysphoria because they work. https://doi.org/10.108…

Which is why you use puberty blockers like in this headline. To cite this: Several clinicians stated that, at least in some situations, one of the reasons for them to let the adolescents start PS was to give the adolescents more time before deciding on GAMT. This time would allow them to further develop and become more autonomous. "You use it [puberty suppressing treatment] as a period for delay and respite so that you make the step to a more irreversible treatment with gender affirming hormones…

cool The first thing I will address about your answer is the citation of Littman, L., 2018. Parent reports of adolescents and young adults perceived to show signs of a rapid onset of gender dysphoria, PLoS one. It's methodology is fascinating to me for a few reasons. One being the sources of the information: To maximize the chances of finding cases meeting eligibility criteria, the three websites (4thwavenow, transgender trend, and youthtranscriticalprofessionals) were selected for targeted recr…

so use HRT before the 'long term', even then I literally can barely find anything on osteoporosis even though puberty blockers are used for precocious puberty in cis children. Most of those things happen to woman or kids who are 12 years old(muscle mass?). Can you give me a source on the 'depression', sounds interesting.

I can't interpret much information from this headline, but the man's child presumably has gender dysphoria. What are you supposed to do with that other than move to a state where it can be addressed?

I don't think anyone will mind if you are a 'manly man', this is a rare exception framed through an online gossip rag that is blatantly incorrect and will host any text that will get your emotions going and amygdala stimulated

You would not give chemotherapy to a cyst, it is a false equivalent and sounds silly. Also gender affirming care is proven to be an effective treatment, unlike telling someone that their toaster needs a friend

That is a silly analogy, because I think it is self evident that being a chicken is different from society dictating what gender you should be from birth.

About 98% https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanchi/article/PIIS2352-4642(22)00254-1/fulltext of transgender children will not detransition, even within your arbitrary timeframe. Why do you think that it is a certainity that they will detransition?

What surgery? There is no surgery, some transgender people don't even SRS and those that do certainly don't at 9. You are making a statement in bad faith.

Under the Dutch Method (used widely) of gender affirming care, Puberty blockers are given at 12 years and HRT is only given at 16 years of age. I presume you are being downvoted because you weren't aware of this.
