Sorry to hear about all this. Stay strong. You will get to the other side! You sound like you've got a good head and are not going to let this derail your life.

That's really good advice!!

Yeah, no. It's hard to lose someone who was once so close, but it would be far more difficult to keep them at some middle distance. I don't spend time thinking about her at all anymore.

Glad to hear you are moving through and breaking the last of your ties. I have found it extremely helpful for myself to resist thinking about what she is thinking and feeling and focusing on myself. Best of luck on this journey.

Wow! There is so much truth in this. Thanks for sharing.

This comment rings to me as a parallel of the trope that many women claim their male exs are narcissists. I'm not sure we have enough information here to be throwing out clinical diagnoses.

I guarantee you she is already devising the optimal narrative to slander you to maximize the justification for her infidelity.

That's a pity. That was a good post and personally helped me out.

The darkness sucks! But on some level I am excited for you to rediscover yourself and enjoy a life that focuses on yourself for a little while. It's like someone who is just starting on a good book or TV show that I can't go back and reread without knowing how it all plays out. I wish you the best!

Damn.. I'm sorry man. I hope your recovery is going well.

I'm so sorry man. This is very similar to my own experience except mine moved straight from my house into his a state away. I'm sorry that the person you are in love with doesn't actually exist. Do what you can to secure the kids. She will likely fight to stay as it sinks in that she doesn't have options yet. Please be very skeptical of the genuineness of this. It seems that very often they will bide their time until they find someone else to monkey branch to and they will drop you like a rock o…

I just hope you realize how difficult it will be to know when your child needs help when you are not able to be present from traveling around, owning your own business, and possibly starting another family.

Curious what treetops thoughts are on student loan forgiveness.

I just hope you are aware, if she gets into a shit situation learning by hard knocks, your child will also be exposed to that.

Yeah. I wish this guy would listen to this, but this reads far more like a fishing trip for confirmation bias.

Why do you feel the need to put him down? You are not even attempting to help him answer his question.

Of course I have no real clue, but this sounds like a situation where her friends may have been the ones planting those numbers in her head. Hormones are definitely a probable contributor and friends that don't really have to deal with the fallout of their asinine suggestions. I had my wife completely turned around on me by a friend of hers offhandedly telling her that I was lying and didn't really want to have kids.

Good thing OP can't submit this comment to the pharmacy then huh. The worst thing that happens is that this guy talks to his primary care doc about this medication and learns if it's not a right fit for him. Settle down. This guy is just trying to help.

I'm so sorry. That all sucks. Perhaps she is trying to receive some form of vindication over her shitty part in this by making sure you see "how much she cares for your child". Maybe she thinks "I am sending him proof that I care for our child" through them. Maybe it's something completely different. I just wanted to give you an option you may not have already considered. Good luck!

All women are hypergamous. You are doing well. Don't fool yourself on this one.

You are not alone. I try to distract myself, but seem to live in the memories of my past. I am constantly bombarded with scenarios that I could have changed to have been a better partner for her and prevented her from losing her love for me. I don't want time to rob me of the beautiful memories of her.

We have already signed and notorized documentation detailing how assets are going to be split and have submitted them to the local clerks office. Her money is her own at this point. I just meant she is using the money that was a part of our retirement that I paid her out with.

I'm still happily with my wife in many of my dreams still. Sleep is a lot more restless than it used to be. I do wake up more than I used to. I hate waking up to the realization that she is not in bed next to me.

I'm proud of you. I hope that I will be able to be that strong once the divorce is finalized and she finally drives away for the last time and out of the life we built together.

Did you wind up responding to her? If you, did, may I ask what the gist of your response was?

Do you have sources for this?
/r/Divorce_Men23/10/22 01:55 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
