1	Polygyny as a cure. One flesh: I Cor. 6:16-17 makes clear that the one flesh relationship refers to sex. If a man is one flesh with any prostitute, he is likewise one flesh with each wife. Furthermore, a polygynous household with multiple one flesh relationships mirrors God's one spirit relationship with each of us. Lust: Romans 7:7 makes clear that lust is covetousness. 3	Polygyny as a cure. 1.) It does not necessarily follow from the fact that God gave Adam one wife that He wants the rest of us to have only one wife. 2.) Christ's teachings on divorce in no way preclude polygyny. Look at the text. It does not say anything about monogamy. 3.) I Peter 3 either means that only pastors and deacons are forbidden to have multiple wives (leaving the rest of us free to be polygynous) or it means that they must have at least one wife.
