In my case it was simply a matter of willpower. I know what you're talking about, the two to four week period. It's rough. I would spend hours not sleeping or charged with energy. Exercise helps a ton. If I couldn't sleep I would just make it a night I didn't sleep as well. But after that my sleep got the best it had been in years. The harder part to deal with was the emotional flatline. I made it about 42 days. My dreams got crazier, my emotional state was a lot more stable.
