It is not "one-upping" to add to a picture of how media bias and sexualization of women negatively plays into the issue of rape whether that is of boys or young girls. The issue is the same to me, media portrayal of rape.

Not a woman but okay. I am more interested in understanding how things like media bias works and find situating it around concepts more useful than genders but good to see mentioning it affecting women is enough to create rage on this forum.

Not sure what you are going on about but I am sorry that you took this as aimed directly at you. I was responding to the fact that I do think Leo is creepy for that statement. He is what 50 and will not date younger than 25? That is a very different situation than you are describing and I hope you both see that difference and understand why its very troublesome. I would say I mostly agree that a parent should be allowed to choose the level of involvement they want in a child's life. I guess my issue is that, as someone supporting right to choice, this to me is aimed at people who specifically do not support that. So of course there is an absurdity to it. However, if you are a pro-lifer than this should be the reality you are living in.

I think it really comes down to some belief society at large holds that a man/boy always wants to be touched sexually regardless of age, relationship status, interest, etc and so young boys are rarely believed especially when media and gender norms emphasize the attractiveness of the woman. You are right it does say that. Still not sure where you are getting retirement plan from as it says "through the child's majority (stupid phrasing)" and "all the costs the father normally assumes for his child" which in no way implies a retirement plan for a mother. But sure. I feel like a man who gets a woman pregnant should 100% pay child support if she has the baby. Not sure how you can argue another way.
