1	Even during lonely times. Sometimes an ex is a decent person who you just dont match with as a unit in a relationship. Its perfectly fine to keep in touch with such people and there is definitely value to be had from knowing them if both sides are enough self aware and mature to know that the romantic/sexual relationship is over.
